“To celebrate our anniversary my husband and I decided to try something new and drive 20 mins across town to try Daniellos. Someone had said in a Facebook group that their smash burger was "the best" he had ever had. Burgers just so happen to be my love language. So to celebrate our love, we ventured to Clapp Road and found a little food truck next to the dispensary. So convenient! When we walked up to the window we were immediately greeted by a warm and friendly employee. I was a little worried when I didn't see any burgers on the menu but I am a brave little beaver and asked if they had smash burgers. They do! And a 2x bacon smash burger with fries meal for $30. Well that's a deal. Looking at their menu I made a note of a few things to try in the future. The grinders, poutine, and obviously the cheesesteaks are top of the list. The burger were done in 10 mins even though he said 15. Love the under promise over deliver attitude. The fries are clearly from scratch, home made and not the weird powdery frozen Costco ish you're used to out here. A generous container of ketchup (not stinking packets!) was provided and much appreciated. The fries could have used a touch more salt, but I'm also a salty gorl. The burger. Well, clearly the burger has made me poetic. The bun was warm, fluffy without being bready, and held her own until the end. The tomato was fresh and the slice cut in half so it didn't squeeze out halfway through. The lettuce was romaine, fresh, cold, crisp, and best of all, sliced! Not just a big puck of iceberg like you get everywhere else. Now to the patties. Yes. You heard me. Patties because there are two of those bad boys on the burger. Thin and perfectly crispy on the edges while being drippingly juicy. True to an honest smash burger, a generous layer of onions was caramelized into the burger as it was smashed. The delicate blend of herbs, especially the thyme, brightened what could have been a dense burger. The bacon was thick, well crisp, and well portioned. A generous helping of cheese stuck the beauty's lower layers together. Truly one of the best burgers I've had in my life. Brava.“
