Jersey Mike's Subs

Showed up at 5:15 to get my order which was supposed to be done at 5, was told it would be 5 more minutes at most. After waiting 20 minutes and being told it was almost ready every 5 minutes I just canceled it and went to Firehouse subs.

This is not OK usually Jersey Mike’s is super diligent at putting the proper amount of food on your sandwich. I should not be paying $20 for a couple pieces of meat and Lettuce not only that they got our orders wrong. This happened today at 7:30 PM. I don’t know if it was a new worker but this is not OK. I could’ve made 10 of these sandwiches for $20.

My 10” sub was only 7”. So is a 6” only 3” or is it a ratio where the 6” is 4.2”?
Was this a mistake or just deceptive business practice?
Not the end of the world for me but if I had known this is what I would receive, I would have ordered from somewhere else to get what I paid for.

Hot subs are always much slower than cold subs, which makes for a long wait and cold sandwiches getting soggy the longer you wait. But everything is usually good.

I have been ordering since opening, and for the first 6 months or so the sandwiches were excellent, and very much like what I have experienced at other Jersey Mike's locations. I always order the same sub, the Italian.

Over time I have noticed the ratios of the meat on the sandwich has changed. Starting out with a healthy variance of ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni to mostly 90% or more of the sandwich being ham and maybe once slice each of pepperoni or salami to call it an "italian sub" officially. It is noticeable, and the sandwich actually tastes like a ham sandwich. In the interest of extending grace... when it happened the first time I blew it off as a "one off". But it's a consistent thing now for the past couple months.

I'm not sure if this is what the employees are taught to do (I'm not sure why that would be), or if I just happen to get the same employee making my sandwiches consistently (unlikely)... but for as much a food costs these days I thought I would write a review so the owner's are aware this is happening and they can hopefully make a change back to how things used to be done.

Very tall, blonde male employee was loudly making fun of a trans customer after they had left. This was extremely uncalled for and inappropriate. Happened around 6:35pm on 7/09/24

This team is great! The sandwich was delicious, but the kind staff made the visit great. It was jam packed in there! And the staff was still super nice. The person putting the toppings on the sandwich set one of each topping out before loading the sandwich because I had already ordered but she was waiting on onions- basically she didn't let my sandwich get soggy and made it so she wouldn't have to ask me for the toppings again. Clever and kind! Great service, great sandwiches!

Food was great but more importantly every employee in there was happy! One was telling jokes to everyone who walked in. The others were holding genuine conversation with customers. Everyone was just happy! It was a pleasant change compared to young adults hating their jobs in other places. Great job Jersey Mike's!!

I'm concerned about the discrepancy regarding the military discount policy between this location and the one I visited in south Anchorage. While the latter readily provided a military discount without hesitation, I was informed that no such discount is available at this location. It's important to maintain the support and trust of the military community, and inconsistencies like this could impact their patronage. Therefore, I urge us to address and resolve this matter promptly to ensure the continued satisfaction of our military personnel and veterans.
