On vacation, bartender was weirdly convinced my ID was fake (I’m 37yrs old). She refused to give it back to me (I need it for travel), needed to call the police to have them tell the bartender that the ID was in-fact real and she needed to return it to me. Got no apology, I believe she was likely under the influence of amphetamines. Would not recommend this stop for out-of-towners. It felt like a twilight zone hostage situation.

Never ever come here. Unless you are looking to be held hostage by a bad built, butch bodied person who has a god complex and doesn’t know what out of state licenses look like. Had to get cops involved because of the ignorant bar tender.
But let’s cover more things.
A dog tied up INSIDE the bar whining. No music. Smells like pee. Nothings on tap.
And again the worst service Alaska has to offer. If you’re looking to get into a fight with the rudest Alaskan you’ve ever met it’s here
