Great tasting bagels but there is no consistency whatever batch to batch. Get them one day and they're half the size of a tennis ball. Get them another day and they're nearly as flat as pancakes. On other days there's more hole than bagel, and it's practically a miracle to get a bagel that is properly shaped and sized. Shows a great lack of experience and technique in the kitchen. Other things we have tried were quite good, but the bagels? Oy vey! They're misshapen and very pricey, and the entire city of New York is rolling on the floor laughing…

Quality desserts, but a little pricey

Omg. Fresh morning buns just out of the oven are to die for. Yum!

North Star Bakery has never disappointed. They sell good croissants, danishes and other traditional bakery items. After enjoying the normal stuff for so long we decided to give them a try for a birthday cake. It was relatively short notice but they were able to accommodate and the quality + pricing on the cake was fantastic. This bakery is definitely a gem in Wasilla. I have, and will continue to, drive up from Anchorage on occasion to visit.

I asked them to prep a cake 1 week out on nothing but faith it'd match the quality of their other items. And all I have to say is this, best mocha chocolate cake I've ever had. I wish every single employee there lives a long life so the joy the bring can last for decades.

They failed on my cake. I was turning 22 but the cake looked like it was for toddlers and not at all the best detail.

what a little treasure! I had chicken salad on a fresh croissant. so good! croissant flaky and butter, chicken salad very fresh and full of great texture from celery, walnuts, dried cranberries and lettuce! friendly service comfortable dining room to eat in. tons of fresh baked goodies. two thumbs up! so good!

Yum! What a little jewel of a shop with delicious pastries to choose from! Sandwiches were exceptionally fresh & soooo good too!

The best bakery I have ever been to. Not just in Alaska, in America! They do everything so well. Their vanilla morning buns are a must and made with flakey croissant-like dough. Their savory pastries, like the ham and cheese croissant was also addictive, flakey and buttery. Their baked goods are all big hits no matter what you choose. The staff feels like family and it’s a relaxing place to sit and eat some food with friends or fam.

The pastries were great, and so was the coffee. It's a fine place with the environment as expected for a bakery.

I waited around for friendly service even though I was the only one there, I still waited 10 min to order. So priorities here aren't straight obviously. And they don't do sandwiches on they're menu until late in the day even though some of them are obviously breakfast options ?, definitely need to make them anytime, not that hard to make a sandwich. Other then that, prices a re fair, staff is friendly, but evasive talking. And the food is divine, lot a heaven send for your taste buds. I'll be going back.

Excellent service and soup and pastries!

Great staples on their menu with the morning buns and focchochini, with a good smattering of weekly/monthly special items. Breakfast sandwiches, soup of the day, cold cuts...all are good. Small but great bakery and so many local places go to North Star for their breads. Service has always been great, even on the busiest of days. Easy 5 star rating on this one.

Delicious baked goods...morning vanilla buns, lemon curd pastry tart, frosted cupcakes, frosted cookies, and that meatball and red sauce pizza thing, so good! I'm probably not naming these items by what they are actually called, but pretty close I'm sure.
