Best halibut fish and chips I’ve ever had! Quick to order, quick to receive food, great portion sizes and the fish+fries were hot out of the fryer. Definitely recommend going here if you’re checking out Whittier!

Happy tourist!
Our group of 6 booked a glacier tour and didn’t leave much time between arriving in Whittier and boarding our boat. Even though food was available on the cruise I was craving substance and the Wild Catch Cafe did not disappoint. The service was quick and friendly and the food was hot and delicious. I enjoyed a cup of reindeer chili (tastes like beef chili but it’s leaner & higher in protein). I shared a salmon burger and fries with a friend (highly recommend). And I tasted my girl friend’s fried halibut. I’m not trying to be dramatic when I say it was life changing! I’m from Oklahoma and I’ve never experienced this fresh of fish. My only regret is that I live too far away to be a regular. Side note: they have a restroom so no need to walk in the cold to the public restroom on the corner.
Kid-friendliness: Our 7 year old enjoyed the food and atmosphere, we all felt very welcome.

Good atmosphere, very good coffee and hot chocolate for a fair price, even lower than expected considering it is a tourist spot. I loved it, cool environment. Not as themed as competitors but has good prices. I'll be back to try lunch

The best fish and chips we had during our 2 week adventure through Alaska! Service is a bit slow...they cook to order...so be patient. The portions are generous and tasty. Not greasy at all. So glad we stumbled across this gem.

The staff was great to work with; they were accommodating and friendly. The burgers were large and tasty.
Dietary restrictions: They were able to easily adjust for gluten-free (no bun, instead provided lettuce wrap).

We four went to Wild Catch and all of us got the Halibut Fish and Chips. I paid 78 for two F&C and two bottles of water. So disappointed. Both orders of halibut were dry and overly chewy. It was a big meal, so that was appreciated, but I only could eat one piece of fish and my husband ate the other two pieces. My friends also didn't like their fish. On a side note, we all liked the thin crispy tasty fries.
