Before I go any further please understand I am not one to underestimate the value of a great place to have lunch. The food quality and portions were great. Here is the hard truth. I had to ask for a waitress after waiting for over 10 minutes. Another person served our meal to us. She came over asked if all was good. I asked for the rolls that came with my meal. She never brought them to us. We both finished our lunch with no return check on us for refills on our drinks. She passed our table several times without a glance at us. So, we got up from our table to go pay for our meal at the front door since she would not come back. She seen us leave and came after us. I paid for our meal and still tipped her 15%. I did not complain to her. Nothing good comes it anyway. I just wanted to pass on our experience to you. I believe she had to many tables to serve. It was a management issue not hers.

We arrive 15-20 minutes before closing time. We waited up front to be seated, were acknowledged by a few waitresses but never sat. After waiting all that time 1 minute to closing time one of the waitresses came over and told us because they were fixing to close the would not seat us! Awful service, would not recommend.

We went to go eat, and the experience was awful. The manager, tomeka i think her name was, was running around like she didnt know what to do, not helping the servers after they needed and asked for help. We could hear her loudly making fun of, and gossiping about other customers, etc. just over all an awful experience.

Small sandwich shop menu with tourist trap prices. Atmosphere and service excellent. Would suggest a visit but not really a regular favorite.

Parking: Very limited downtown street parking.

I really love the decor it takes you back to an old setting and audience of a day gone by. I really love the music it was set to the theme of the restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was when I asked for the daily special they had already sold out and it was only 12:15 in the morning. So I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and a drink the total cost came to around 17 dollars. I will probably go back and try some other foods off their menu but for me their hamburger is not really no different than hamburger sold anywhere else. I actually made a special trip over there from Dothan because there is a sign in Dothan advertising best hamburgers are sold in Abbeville but that's not true. The next time I go I think I will get a club sandwich and fries but this time when I go I will ask them to make sure the fries are cooked fresh because the freeze I got with my hamburger was not fresh they look like they had been cooked twice. I know this is a really long comment and I'm sorry about that but there's no way to shorten the fact of what it is. I would suggest if anybody is in that area yes go by there and check it out because it's worth stopping and having a milkshake and a good time just make sure you know what you want when you go to order it and be kind and if they say they're out of their daily special. Just go ahead and order a sandwich or something

I was really hoping for this place to be amazing! Today, my wife and I decided to have lunch here for the first time. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the service. It was incredibly slow, leading us to believe that the food would at least be served hot and fresh. Well, we were wrong. My burger was not only overcooked and chewy but also served at room temperature. As for the famous (now infamous for me) onion rings, they were doughy and also cold. It was like no onion ring I have ever tasted before; more like a strange combination of an onion ring and a biscuit. My wife ordered the fish and chips, which was supposed to be the special of the day. However, it seemed like the fryer oil hadn't been changed for months. The result was a greasy mess, accompanied once again by the cold and biscuity onion rings. It's such a shame because this place is quite expensive for a lunch spot. On top of that, it has a fascinating decor, resembling an old apothecary or soda fountain, which is truly beautiful.
