Stopped on my way through, the food was delicious. The staff was very polite, exceptionally friendly, and incredibly thorough. If I could give them 10 out of 10 I would. Great experience for a quick stop.

The food is ok for fast food that is. You can’t go wrong with the battered fish. And you should definitely try the mozzarella sticks. I think it’s the best thing on the menu personally.

I came by Wednesday night and I asked the person in the drive through which family meal would be more likely to feed 8 people he recommended the seafood feast I got that and a 10 piece family meal I got all my food in about 5 minutes or so and it was great the young man was friendly the food was hot and fresh and outstanding

Ate here today and everything tasted really good, except there was a black spot in my stuffed crab that smelled rotten. I just scooped that part out and ate the rest lol. It’s not their fault because it’s prepared and frozen by their supplier. I just think the crab wasn’t cleaned properly before it was stuffed by the supplier. But everything else was good!

I started eating at Captain D's in the mid 1970's. The fish and chips style meal was incredibly delicious. Fast forward until today. The fish is half the size or less than it used to be and the taste doesn't even come close to the wonderful flavor that it once had. They have evidently changed to some kind of cheaper fish than what they once used. The shrimp used to be MUCH larger and they have shrunk to about a half a bite each and don't taste nearly as good. The last deluxe seafood platter that I ordered tasted so bad that I ate about half a fish a tossed it in the trash. The staff acts like they couldn't care less if you come or don't. I really miss the Captain D's fish that I remember and would be willing to pay a higher price for it, but I don't see that happening. Same with KFC. Once was delicious but they got greedy and you see what's happening to them. If another company ever opens a fish and chips themed restaurant and serves food like Captain D's used to serve it will start driving nails into the coffin of Captain D's. Also a lot of the Captain D's buildings are beginning to show signs of trouble by looking kind of run down. Also one final thought, I did a Google search on where the fish comes from and it says Vietnam or China. I hope not but if that's true I will never eat there again. It used to be North Atlantic whitefish which is cod I believe.

This fast food restaurant is horrible, food and Customer service. The fish was bad, didn’t get our full order when you go up and tell them they argue then cuss you out. The Manager is something special!!!!! She comes out flips us off not one hand but 2, then threatens to call the police and have us arrested. Save your money go somewhere else to eat, expensive place for crap food.

Admittedly, my first negative experience with this location. Missed my order by a mile but I failed to check it since it had never been wrong before. Too hungry and too far to return so I choked down what I got. It may be quite awhile before I return. Sad...
The fish is delicious!! I tried the chicken for the first time today and that is delicious as well! The customer service is excellent!! Very friendly and outgoing!! And 🥂🍻 cheers! 🍻🥂 To the cooks!! 😋 Captain D's is the place to go for your seafood meal in Arab Alabama 👍👍 I give ya'all five stars!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ But please? Bring Clam Chowder into the menu 😋😋

Don’t understand that there is nothing healthy at all on the menu. The grilled stuff looks terrible, it taste just like it looks awful.
