I came by Wednesday night and I asked the person in the drive through which family meal would be more likely to feed 8 people he recommended the seafood feast I got that and a 10 piece family meal I got all my food in about 5 minutes or so and it was great the young man was friendly the food was hot and fresh and outstanding

Ate here today and everything tasted really good, except there was a black spot in my stuffed crab that smelled rotten. I just scooped that part out and ate the rest lol. It’s not their fault because it’s prepared and frozen by their supplier. I just think the crab wasn’t cleaned properly before it was stuffed by the supplier. But everything else was good!

I started eating at Captain D's in the mid 1970's. The fish and chips style meal was incredibly delicious. Fast forward until today. The fish is half the size or less than it used to be and the taste doesn't even come close to the wonderful flavor that it once had. They have evidently changed to some kind of cheaper fish than what they once used. The shrimp used to be MUCH larger and they have shrunk to about a half a bite each and don't taste nearly as good. The last deluxe seafood platter that I ordered tasted so bad that I ate about half a fish a tossed it in the trash. The staff acts like they couldn't care less if you come or don't. I really miss the Captain D's fish that I remember and would be willing to pay a higher price for it, but I don't see that happening. Same with KFC. Once was delicious but they got greedy and you see what's happening to them. If another company ever opens a fish and chips themed restaurant and serves food like Captain D's used to serve it will start driving nails into the coffin of Captain D's. Also a lot of the Captain D's buildings are beginning to show signs of trouble by looking kind of run down. Also one final thought, I did a Google search on where the fish comes from and it says Vietnam or China. I hope not but if that's true I will never eat there again. It used to be North Atlantic whitefish which is cod I believe.

This fast food restaurant is horrible, food and Customer service. The fish was bad, didn’t get our full order when you go up and tell them they argue then cuss you out. The Manager is something special!!!!! She comes out flips us off not one hand but 2, then threatens to call the police and have us arrested. Save your money go somewhere else to eat, expensive place for crap food.

The fish is delicious!! I tried the chicken for the first time today and that is delicious as well! The customer service is excellent!! Very friendly and outgoing!! And 🥂🍻 cheers! 🍻🥂 To the cooks!! 😋 Captain D's is the place to go for your seafood meal in Arab Alabama 👍👍 I give ya'all five stars!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ But please? Bring Clam Chowder into the menu 😋😋
Food was hot ordered ready in like 2 minutes fish was good but shrimp 🍤 and fries 🍟 and hushpupies seemed taste like they been cooked and reheated how do you cook that fast nobody inside couple 🚗 cars in drive threw weren't that busy at 11.00 am probably want go back again I drive a truck so don't get to arab couple times month should have tasted better ordered small drink got medium cost $3.00 tasted funny too..where I live we don't have captain Dee's we got long john silver and just remodel it it's always good have to wait for them to cook it but I'd rather wait for fresh food. But most places aren't any better now not good and over priced....this lunch cost $ 10.00 dollars cause the drink cost 3.00 dollars ridiculous.

We went through the drive through yesterday evening (06/05/24) and ordered three meals and a side ordered of butterfly shrimp. When we got home (12 min. away) we noticed that the deluxe seafood meal was not in the bag. We called up there and informed them we were missing the most expensive portion of our order and said we would return to pick it up. To which they informed us that we could pick it up, without so much as an apology for the missing meal. We are all human and make mistakes, but the manager on shift at the time (I believe her name was Susan) was rude and unapologetic. When most places, as such, make this kind of mistake they at least apologize, if not try to compensate for their mistake.
We will NOT return to this establishment - not for the mistake but for the unprofessional and rude attitude of "management." Very poor customer service!
