Love these small restaurants as we travel the U.S. Large Cheeseburger and Patty Melt were great. Friendly staff. Too bad we are leaving the area, would have liked the breakfast I am sure!!

So we live in Arley and my wife and daughter ordered 5 different meals all needing ranch dressing (apparently they have the best) they requested extra ranch dressing as in paying for it. I was sent to pickup the order I made a point to ask the girl to make sure there was extra ranch dressing because those were my orders. I get home. There are four small round ramekins of ranch. I’m in trouble. So I called The Coffee Shop a little. The first lady was nice but didn’t know how to handle the situation. The second person that answered the phone said “so what is your problem? Select explain the problem. She stated they give two ramekins of ranch per order. I tell her We have five orders with only four ramekins of ranch. Responses, so what do you want to do come up here and get some and of course I said no. I said just please don’t do this again to the next people that order extra ranch that are willing to pay for it.

Place was great, food, service and atmosphere. This is what a small town diner should be.

Solid breakfast served up quickly and cheaply by friendly staff. Double biscuits & gravy, bacon, hashbrowns, and a coffee + choco milk for $10 flat? Waffle house would be twice that. This greasy spoon's defining characteristic is its family owned neighborhood down to earth feel wherein every single table knew every other table, and staff, on a first-name basis, to include their little helpers. I'm not from Alabama and I could barely understand half of what was spoken in there, but I do know this: I'd support this piece of American over a franchise any day of the week. Would've taken more pics but stand out too much as it is. LoL. You know when there's a giant fork and spoon mounted on the wall you fittin' to grub.

Great food, super friendly staff, got to know the local busybody Delores, who is absolutely precious. Would go back again just to sit and talk to her. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
