We used to go to the Pizza Shack several years ago when it was under the original ownership, and the food was always wonderful. We had not been back for several years (we live in Oxford), so I was surprised to find when we visited recently that it was under new ownership. While we were skeptical about whether the food was the same as we had remembered. Our skepticism was quickly resolved when we got our food. Our pizzas came to the table piping hot and perfectly cooked. My husband and kids' pepperoni and extra cheese on original crust was cooked to perfection. My thin crust bacon, onions, and bell pepper pizza was the best I have ever had from anywhere. The thin, crispy crust easily supported the toppings while still yielding that crunch. We will definitely be back much more often.

Now under new ownership, the Pizza Shack has undergone a few changes...... Most importantly, their hours of business are now predictable....... And according to the signage you can order fun there and have it delivered via door dash. There is now a burger and a bbq pork sandwich on the menu along with a few other additions , but fans of their classic "Pizza-Shack-style" pizza will be happy to know that the pizza has stayed the same. .... And the cheesy bread is still basically a pizza crust smothered with cheese and cut into strips as has been the custom for decades.

A great small town prize. Nothing fancy, just good food made well. I started off with a BLT. It was good and the bread was toasted, just how I like it. I should have gotten the large. So I washed it down with a couple slices of a small ground beef, onion and green pepper pizza. It was a yummy as my sandwich. Don't let the modest look from the outside keep you from coming inside. You will enjoy!

We eat here frequently. The food is great and the prices are not bad. BUT, they COMPLETELY ruined the decor when whoever remodeled. It was a cool vintage early 70's vibe. Now it is the most generically bland grey walls with plain black booths. Most of the Gothic iron tables and all of the lights have been romoved.. Complete loss of the old character.

The food is really good. They have upgraded the lighting and the ceiling. They also have new seating.

We went for an early lunch. It looked closed from the outside because it's so dark inside. We went up to the counter to place our order, not a huge selection, but enough, and it looks like a place that definitely needs updating. They had leaks from the ceiling, with clothes on the floor to keep the floor dry, it's very dusty and kind of dreary inside in decor. We went for the food so I'll give my thoughts on that. We ordered a medium meat lovers pizza w two fountain drinks. It was about $18 for the two of us. The wait for our meal wasn't long but I tried not to look around much because the restaurant is not well kept in cleaning or repairs. It looks like they're updating and expanding in the open space next door, so hopefully it will be a better appeal to go there. Our pizza came on a cardboard "tray" which seemed odd to me, but maybe that's how it's done in this part of Alabama. The pizza was a thinner crust than I usually like, but it had a very generous amount of meat and cheese. We did finish our lunch and probably will go back, simply for the pizza not the atmosphere.

Seriously need to s bytep up the game. From teenagers working here who clearly have not been trained to give customer service to lack of items on the menu. I've never been able to get a dessert in several trips... they say they are always out.Spaghetti is mostly noodles most will be eaten with no sauce I've tried it several times

This little pizza place on the square in this small town is a hidden jewel! It's a little dark in the restaurant but that is ok! The service was so fast and the pizza was so amazing! The three young folks behind the counter were great!! As we were giving out order to the one guy another was already starting on our pizza! It was amazing! The Greek salad was so good also! Can't wait to go back

The food was GREAT, and the atmosphere reminded me of pizza parlors from back when sitting in a pizza place and enjoying a meal was an actual thing. There was also great live music which my wife and I enjoyed. The only negative about our visit was that even though there were no other eat-in customers in the place at the time we were in there, there were evidently many call-in orders. It took us 42 minutes to get our food from the time we arrived. However, the staff was friendly, and we will be giving the place another visit.Dietary restrictions: They offer more than just pizza, which my wife appreciated as she is on a Keto diet, and their chicken wings were great.

Stopped on our way through town and had some wonderful pizza, made fresh to order. A dish style pizza with great dough and yummy cheese. Have most standard toppings. Great setting in downtown Ashland. We recommend!

We were in town from Mobile and dined here - there are slim pickings as far as restaurants in Ashland, apparently. Arrived just after 4pm, when the place was virtually empty. We were not greeted at all when we walked in, and the girl behind the counter who took our order was aloof, unfriendly, and gave us sweet tea instead of the unsweet tea we ordered (our ticket said unsweet, so she clearly didn’t hear us wrong). Then we waited over an hour for two 8-inch pizzas, one of which was just plain cheese. The cheese pizza had obviously been baked earlier in the day and reheated. The cheese was hard and dry rather than melty. The “waitress” never once asked if we needed refills or anything during our 1hr+ wait, then when she finally brought the pizzas, she looked at us like we were crazy for asking for plates. Definitely not a great experience!
