This is the worst Captain D’s that I have ever been to. I ordered a baked potato and this is what I got. My husband ordered fries and the portion was like a kiddie meal.
We asked for the original recipe for the batter on the fish, and it was not good at all, and looked like chicken fingers.
This is my second time going there. The first time was not so good either, but I know that every business may have a bad day, so I gave them another chance!
No more! Stay away from the Captain D’s in Athens, AL. The building is old as crap too. They don’t even have a drive thru. The owners obviously don’t care and The manager needs to be FIRED!!!!

Drove from Huntsville to Athens based on better reviews for that location. Mistake. None of the staff even acknowledged us at the dine-in counter. And I mean didn't even look at us. They were only concerned with carry-out orders. So after a few minutes we left for Culvers in Madison. Too many option available to put up with that. C'mon, do better.

Drove from Madison, due to their higher rating than the one in Madison. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED OUR BEING THERE...EVEN THOUGH THEY WALKED RIGHT BY US. WE WAITED AND WAITED AT THE COUNTER.AND THEN LEFT.

I am visiting from out of town. Wanted some fish and tried this Capn Ds. The restaurant was packed. The cashier told us there was only one cook and that they were very backed up. I did have to wait a while for my food but I didn’t mind. Was very impressed that the cashier checked each order before calling out our numbers. Food was fresh and exactly what I ordered. Good job!!

One of the best if not the best Captain D’s. I’ve been to many other locations and this location many times. The food prep is consistently done well. The grilled whitefish is hardly ever overcooked. Great staff even on a busy day.
