I ordered the super chimichango and the tacos with extra rice for pick up. Upon entering the building I was immediately greeted by two male employees watching their phone and another male employee who then over charged me in the amount of $44. I got home and the tacos were SOGGY and greasy AF and the shrimp chimichango had RAW shrimp and raw onions and bell pepper and the chicken chimichango had this greasy sweet inside which made us both sick. I will never return to be overcharged and not appreciated just to end up throwing it all away. In Athens where there's a Mexican restaurant saturation problem I will not have a problem finding an authentic Mexican spot who takes pride on their cuisine. As I write this my GF is literally sick. Good job guys!!!-10 review. Go to taco bell you'll enjoy more without the hassle of running to the literal border all evening.

I placed an order for chicken cheese and rice by phone and when I picked it up they charged me over $14 and gave me a half portion. The guy tried to sound like I was getting a deal since it came with chips and salsa. The meal was in an appetizer aluminum foil plate which is supper small. Not satisfied at all.

The food is great, the portions are generous, and the service is spot on. Everything was great until we got the bill and the prices were inflated. We brought it to the server's attention.....and we note he is not the one who was doing the bills....and he took it back to the front. It came back less inflated, but still not correct. The lady at the counter who was doing the bills was not very nice about having to correct the bill and make it right, per the menu and special prices. We would have given five stars if not for the bill issues and negative disposition of the lady doing the bills.

Even though we asked multiple times for no onions they acted as if they didn't hear us. Also recommend a meal for my ten year old that was so spicy hot she couldn't even attempt to eat it. Besides that the personal were very friendly.

Pathetic to be SUPER overcharged for a side of chicken and rice cost $30. What a rip off to feed my service dog. Absolutely pathetic. Lunch shouldn't cost $60 for 2 at a Mexican joint without any booze.

It’s ok. There are better places in or around Huntsville but this place is good. I feel it’s a tad overpriced compared to El Cazador or El Arroyo but it doesn’t disappoint. It’s good.

Although they have several location, Athens is our FAVORITE! We always get the Hawaiian nachos, and these grilled jalapeños are amazing! Hot but so good! Sometimes service is good, sometimes not. Depends on who you get. They're on the pricy side, but most dishes have enough to share or make two meals out of. I hate their salsa tho. It tastes like pure tomato, no spices :<

I had picked out what I wanted to order. My wife picked out hers. I explained to him what I wanted with the 5 taco plate. I asked him to explain it to me. The waiter acted like he couldn't understand me and we went back and forth for like 5 minutes. What seem like forever I finally said I'll try the same thing my wife got. They brought her food out first 5 minutes later they brought mine out. The food they brought me didn't look right. We got the same plate but I love tacos above all Mexican food. After we got the same plate I told the waiter this doesn't look the same it looks disgusting. It just ran all over the plate. The waitercame by I said to him what I originally wanted to try was TACOS and we tried to order it again and all of a sudden he understood me. The waiter brought that out to me and everything started looking up. I was enjoying my meal and then the waiter came out and said we're going to charge you for that other meal Special #1. That's when things went South. I lost my hunger and interest in the meal and couldn't enjoy myself. The meal was a complete disaster and I ended up getting a to go box and leaving early. But upon the beginning I asked for a Michelob Dark beer and the waiter acted like he couldn't understand me and brought me out a light beer. On the second one he ended up bringing me out another beer I would have been happier with. Long story short we should have just gotten up and left when they didn't have the right beer.
We stopped on our way through from Florida to Indiana on a whim. The food was absolutely delicious. They had a few unique options we had not seen in an authentic Mexican restaurant before. The service was excellent! It is a little gem we will stop at again on our next trip through!

Food was delicious, tired pineapple in my chicken bacon quesadilla, it was a sweet surprise! Service was amazing, quick and attentive. Only downfall was music was a bit to loud, next time I’ll sit somewhere far from ceiling speakers.
