Both the grilled & fried catfish were awesome! You can't beat the hushpuppies. Fresh salads & perfectly cooked baked potatoes. Recommend you try this place.
Don’t trust recommendations from the Facebook group “what’s happening in Athens” . They don’t know what they don’t know. Majority of the recommendations are like this. Oysters were tiny and overcooked, not fresh. Shrimp tasted like defrosted TV dinner. Save your time. The ones saying this is good are from locals who don’t know what they don’t know. The hush puppies and water were both good. The waitress was nice

Customer service has went down since new owners my aunt had a bad experience with the staff ? upon returning and order that catfish cabin made a mistake and gave her 4 orders of fried green tomatoes for which she did pay but she call to let the cashier know about it and they told her she could bring them back and they will refund her the money and she took the order back thru the drive thru from where she purchased the order from and they told her she would have to come in for the refund just to let you know she is disabled and so she parkin front of the store and they came to tell her she could park their so the took the food and the receipt and she ask are you going to bring me my refund and they so NO you will have to come inside and get the refund this is unacceptable because my aunt is disabled so she had to get out of the car with her cane and walk inside to get the refund and the server began to speak to her very rudely about bring the food back 4 hours laters in front of customers so we will not be going back and I will be speaking with corporate about their customer service
It was our first time eating at Catfish Cabin and the food was really, really good. If you haven’t tried their hush puppies it’s worth a visit just to get hush puppies!! The staff was very friendly and special kudos go out to Pam!!
We have been eating here for almost 30 years and I don't think we have ever had a bad experience. The food is always amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We live almost 1.5 hours away and we still make the drive down just to eat at this restaurant because we all like it so much. 10/10. We love eating here.
Parking: Smaller parking lot but usually plenty of places to park.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Comes with crayons and paper to draw on.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair.
