I was in there for the first time today, and OH MAN was it good. I'd say this is the best "Soul Food" place around here. It was worth the drive from Decatur to Athens. I'll definitely go back.
It's fantastic food and service. Reminds me of Grandma"s cooking. Man do I miss that 'ole Gal and her home cooking. The dinner filled me with nostalgia. I think whenever I miss my mother or grandmother I'll go have a bite here. Yep, definitely will do just that. Come and get it guys, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Oh my goodness! We ate here for the first time yesterday and it was AMAZING! My husband got the meatloaf and I got the chicken and dressing. Both were incredible! Oh and the caramel cake is to die for! And the folks working there are so sweet! I wish we lived closer. We’d be there a couple time a week! We live in Killen but were in Athens for a dr appt. Even though it’s a 45 min drive, we will definitely drive that far to come back to Inez’s Soul Food.
