Good little place to get a snack and something sweet. They only have hotdogs, pretzels, and chips to eat but they have a good selection of ice cream, sundaes, toppings etc. good for if you have a sweet tooth or if you’re out and about walking around downtown with friends.

The Kreme Delight in Athens is located right off the square and is a local favorite. The Kreme Delight has been an Athens tradition for at least 50 years. The restaurant has two walk-up windows, and the person taking the order prepares the treats. The lines can be quite long in the summer. The lines were shorter today with cooler weather. Their upside banana split is great, as well as their dip cones. It's always worth a visit.

I love coming here. But it's kinda ridiculous some days they take tap to pay and some days they don't. The girl that took my order said someday they do and some days they don't but the manager won't let them today. Losing business that way bc a lot of people have switched to tap to pay. I was fixing to spend $6 on an ice cream cone....

To the people of Athens, this small shop is one of the biggest local landmarks in the city, up there with Dub's Burgers, UG White's, and apparently, Catfish Cabin.
Each of the menu items are as notable as the others. I especially recommend thei chili dogs! One of the few places that I'd give a 5/5, not just because of their small-town charm in an increasingly growing Athens, but also because of the memories that I, and many others, share about this historic location.
