Once a month, when I am returning home from Huntsville, I always stop at Lawlers BBQ in Athens. I have yet to find a BBQ sandwich better than Lawlers. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. You order and pay at one window, so there can be a back up of cars, but when you are at the window, you are the only one they care about at the moment, making sure you get what you need. So if you are number 5 in the car line, just hang in there, because your special time with Lawlers is right around the corner. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. GREAT JOB, LAWLERS IN ATHENS, AL...

Great experience. It is always hard to find good places to eat when you have celiac and they have some great options. Very knowledgeable and professional. I can’t speak for all locations but this one in Athens was great!

I realy like the food at Lawlers. But for the first time ever tonight I ordered dessert. I ordered the cherry cheese cake. Really guys?? $3 for this tiny little 4oz cup. My wife ordered pecan pie and it was a nice portion. I would be embarrassed to charge that much for such a tiny portion.

Ordered a slab of ribs. I took the test and pulled the bone. The bone slid out perfectly. The rib was meaty and tender. I ordered online and picked up at the window. Food was fresh and hot!

The stuffed potatoes are good and that's about it. No smoked sausage, no brisket, no wings. I really don't believe the comment from the owner about drive thru times. Have you ever been to chikfila or any other drive thru? Expect to wait at least 30 minutes in drivethru.

The last few times we've been here we noticed the quality of the pork was going down. I have never gotten potatoes with bacon bits that were big chunks of fat and gristle. I had about 3 tablespoons of pork in the potato verses spread across the potato like it used to be. My daughter had a huge piece of a hard end or something in her bbq nachos. It's just disgusting. I paid $22.00 for this and I'm thinking about not returning because it seems the food is just cheap scraps now.

The family pack fed 14 people with leftovers. The staff was absolutely amazing. All we had to do was sit down and eat. They furnished everything.

My husband and I ordered ribs only to be told they didn't have any.. the turkey was dry and no flavor, the BBQ pork tasted funny, just an overall bad dining experience...

I paid $17 for food that was inedible. This was possibly the worst bbq I’ve ever had. Not even McRib quality. It’s garbage. Don’t eat here unless you hate yourself or you want to prank someone. Tell them it’s your favorite bbq and watch them try to eat this dog food without gagging or vomiting.
