Went in there today and ordered a filet of fish meal. Fries were hot and tasty, dr pepper was cold and refreshing but the filet of fish was a problem. I was really hungry so I thought I would take a few bites of it and finish the Fries. On my 4th bite I had to spit it out in the bag and literally started throwing up in the bag. I got out of there and continued to throw up in the parking lot. After 10 or so minutes I was fine and have been the rest of the day. First time there.

It’s crazy that I did that job making $7.75 an hour in highschool, meanwhile they’re making over $11 now and too incompetent to get an order right. I ordered a double cheese plain, medium fry and 6 piece. I got a large fry, mcchicken and 2 six pieces. I pull back through because I wanted a double cheese. The lady tells me to pull to the second window. The guy at the window (that asked me the first go around what I ordered) asked what he could help me with. And apparently asking for the plain McDouble I ordered was too much for them to comprehend. He says “yeah it was one plain and one regular” after I overheard them talking about a plain mcchicken? So cool I got extra food that is just going to be wasted. Not to mention by the time all of it was done my fries were cold. This place is a JOKE. 🤣 Someone please tell me where the adults are at, because that place needs some. ☠️
This use to be the better McDonald’s in Athens. But this location is a joke now.

I honestly don't expect much from a fast food joint at this point but dear lord this McDonald's is one of the worst. After getting my order my large fries was half way filled, instead of 2 large fries I got 2 small, the cheese burger looked like it barely had anything on it. The food was also slightly cold. I don't leave reviews often but this has gotten out of hand. It's always a constant issue with this McDonald's.

Out of the two McDonald's franchises in Athens, this is the one I prefer to dine from. The restaurant as a whole is usually cleaner than the other one, and the staff at this location is very hospitable and accommodating to any issues that may come up with your order. A lot of customers come throughout most of the day, so it's difficult to immediately get someone to the counter during peak times. Most of the time, the food is warm and fresh. I occasionally get cold food or fries that have probably been cooked in old grease, but it's rare that this happens here. I wish they would keep someone at the register when crowds of people come inside, but other than that, I enjoy eating here.

I’ve been a customer for the last 6 years averaging a couple of visits monthly. Almost without exception something is wrong or missing with the order. Ask for no cheese and you get cheese. Order pancakes and no syrup. Order McNuggets and they don’t give the sauce you asked for, or order missing item altogether. Lately the drive thru takes forever, which would be acceptable if the order was right. I usually place order on mobile app, not sure if that has anything to do with it. There are usually several employees by the window standing around , the least they could do is insure the order is correct. I get it that we all are mistakes. But almost every time I place order something is messed up, not acceptable. Management/Owners talk to your coworkers and figure something out.

Genuinely the worst experience I've had with food in all of Alabama. Every time I come here I wait no less than 30 minutes, typically 45 to an hour. Food is never good and typically results in food poisoning. Just go to the one on 72.
Wait times are horrible and there is trash all in the kitchen wouldn’t be surprised if they had roaches and rats and it’s not like this just for breakfast it’s like this all day

This Particular McDonald’s is home to me. Always has been and always will be. I started at this McDonald’s on Hwy 31 in Athens as a Crew member back in 2012, when I was just 16 years old. I worked very hard the four years I was there eventually I got the opportunity to become a Kitchen Department Manager for the McDonald’s company at a different location. So I decided to leave for more money of course. It’s been 14 years since the day I started. I recently about a month ago came back to work there at Hwy 31 Athens Location. And A lot has changed some for the better some for the worse. I do like that they finally remodeled the store. It was needing a makeover. lol🤣 But mostly the only thing that’s changed is the people, it’s all new people, new faces, new strangers to get to know. Policies and procedures has gotten more light. But honestly I’ve seen what the post pandemic can do on a struggling business. I’ve seen good people/businesses having to close there doors cause they can’t handle the finances no more. But that’s not the case at this particular McDonald’s. Athens, AL has always been a town I love cause I spent 20 years of my life here. The customers support is unbelievable here! I’ve never seen a McDonald’s flourish like this one has in just ten years I’ve been away! Of course we have our problems like all businesses no one is perfect. But I do wanna warn the loving customers that we are very short staff right now. So please bare with us, especially at night. If y’all know anyone looking for a job, please send them our way we would love to have anyone on our team! I love working with just about anybody! Like I said before just be patient with us for right now. We will soon get back to being the top store in the region again I have faith! Just gotta stay positive through the storm. 😊 We do truly appreciate your support of our Company though. We love all of y’all! God Bless Y’all!

I have tried this place and few times, everything I go they make me pull away from the window and Park to wait for my food. When they come back, I then need to send them back for things they didn't give me an opportunity to tell them that I needed at the window. By the time I get the stuff I asked for my food is cold. I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but in this case I have decided to do one to maybe help them get better. But for now on ill go to the one on 72.

Took almost an hour to get order placed in the app to pick up at counter. Claimed they never received the order. After showing them the order on phone, they still made no effort to fill the order. Employee placed basket of fries on trash can then another employee sweeping emptied the dust pan into the can where my fries were. Sent complaint to owners/management of this store. They said a member of management would contact me in a few days which they never did. I won't be back.
