How expensive could M&Ms possibly be? If I had wanted plain vanilla ice cream, I would’ve ordered that. And moreover, why did it take 20 minutes to squirt some vanilla soft serve into a cup and then lie to me that you put M&Ms in it? Just don’t go here.

The food was good me and my sister tried the new big dill meal it was good but it took forever to be given to us the drive through worker was rude probably TMI but me and my sister have diarrhea from the food so it's not just her stomach or mine it's the food would not recommend going there but the burger and tots were so good so i might go there again but that's idiotic

WORST SONIC EVER!!!, 20 minute wait in line, shorted me a BURNT Chicken Finger, Tots were cold, Didn’t give me my Honey Mustard. I just cannot figure out how this Sonic is still in business… I’m a lifelong Athens resident and it has NEVER been good EVER… the reviews should say it all… This location and really and truly ALL Sonic locations should really take notes from the Sonic’s in Lawrenceburg, Pulaski (especially) and Ardmore locations in Tennessee, they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

We were there at 8pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. We chose the drive thru and had to wait forever, there was no one else in the drive thru but us. Finally, a lady came over the speaker and we told her we were there to pick up a Doordash order. She said pull up. We then waited forever and finally the lady opened the window and gave us the order. We asked if everything was in the bag and she said she didn't know. The bag was supposed to be sealed with a sticker, but was not. It was all crumbled up and look very unprofessional for the Doordash customer. I checked the order and everything was just thrown in there with no condiments, which the customer requested. She gave us no straw for the drink and so we asked her for one and she said they didn't have any....? She was rude and just amhad an attitude and then slammed the window in our face. This is unacceptable. We are know telling everyone to avoid the Sonic and we are now making a formal complaint to The Consumer Complaints Office, BBB and Attorney Generals office. This Franchisee owner will correct this issue. We were told that this happened all the time at this particular location and the problems are never addressed. Their is a young guy there that people seem to have a problem with aswell, as he also works the drive thru at this hour and is very unprofessional. We will cancel all future orders from Doordash/ Customers and we have notified Doordash Corporate office to inform them if this restaurants issues for the record and future business with this particular food chain.

Food was cold and tasted old , bread was hard looked and tasted as if it was stale. I don't know what's going on but I couldn't eat it. Went down the street and ordered a burger from Jack's. Sonics usually make a great burger

Im changing a previous review of one star from years ago that made me not come back until today. I gave them another shot and i saw lots of improvement. Fast service (but it was dead) food was just barely warm enough is my only complaint. not a fan of the new fries but that’s not their fault.

Are there no limitations to having a Sonic franchise? This location has ruined Sonic for me!! The food is always cold, order is never right, and employees are always rude.. It doesn’t matter what time of day or how empty the parking lot is, it’ll take them 30 mins to hand you half your order. They use to have an amazing crew that actually cared and I went weekly. Now I’ll only go for a cherry limeade.. They’ve even screwed that up a couple times.

If you enjoy long waits for food come here. This is the best place to wait for your food and it not be worth eating. Waited over 20 minutes still nothing. Advise going elsewhere. This is no where near with its price. Also missing multiple items. Chili dog Dr Pepper daughter’s chicken tenders and the food was inedible. Could not get them to come back out and right the wrong. Having to file a dispute on my card.

I came with a group of 4 including myself, there were no available stalls and 2 were being used by people standing and ordering. We decided to order at the patio, they only have one stall on the patio. One went up and pressed the button and ordered, she then ended saying it’ll be 4 separate checks (annoying, i know) however it’s still something we wanted to do. The worker on the speaker then said “we can’t do 4 separate to one order. Only 1 or 2” so we said that’d be all for that order and she said the total and cut off the speaker. I then went and pressed the button again for my order and she answered asking for my order. I started telling her and she proceeded to then yell out of the speaker “ WE CANT DO 4 SEPARATE ORDERS” and a few other things I can’t even remember I was so taken aback. There was no need AT ALL to yell or speak to me like that and also, she said HERSELF she can do 2 separate checks. That was the second order she said we could do?? I asked her how we were supposed to order then?? since she’s just yelled at me through the speaker. She didn’t respond and we didn’t hear anything from the speaker. A different worker came out and told us to use the separate stalls so it would be easier and told my friend it’s something with the card they use. I used to work at Sonic and I know it’s doable. If they changed that then okay! you could try explaining that to me before yelling at me for something you said was possible. We did in fact still order and the food was all correct and okay. The service needs to be changed though. If you do not want more than 1 separate check, try installing more stalls on the patio or coming up with a better solution. Also, try practicing patience and kindness maybe? I hope you have a better night since you obviously were not having a good one! It really could’ve been explained and talked about beforehand but you decided to resort to that. :/
