First time I have been to Salty Cod it was amazing the server was very personal he didn't treat you like you were just another table the food was amazing I was able to hand pick my stake it was cooked perfect I would recommend Salty Cod to anyone

Coming from Los Angeles originally and moving to Huntsville, I find the variety of food to be limited or redundant. But Salty Cod gives me a great experience and exciting flavors! Third time coming here and it never disappoints! I ordered the chicken salad and it was scrumptious! The chicken is very well made, and the sauce on top really added great flavor! The staff is kind and accommodated my baby and was very sweet to him as well. Atmosphere is great and my family and I will continue to come here!

My husband and I took my in-laws out to celebrate their birthdays, which are very close together. I had always wanted to try The Salty Cod, but when I was diagnosed with alpha-gal syndrome, I thought that wouldn’t be possible. However, it turned out that I could still enjoy a meal there! I had the chicken lemon salad, and it was amazing! It was a little pricey, but that's okay because our food is worth it!

I'm going to start this by saying this is the sister pub to Poppy & Parliment in Huntsville. We loved it. Nina was an amazing attentive server. I've never had a Pimms Cup and tried it. I liked it quite a bit. The food was delicious. I'll leave a few pics for y'all.

Incredible place that blew me away! Tired of bland food and poor service from the plague of corporate chain restaurants overwhelming Alabama? This place is the cure! Nina was our first class waitress. Gave us a full tour. It’s a larger than it looks complex with high end butcher shop, dessert and coffee cafe. The food prep is in the open and visible to all. Everybody was super kind. Manager spent time with us, super friendly and knowledgeable guy. Food presentation and taste was top notch! So glad to have this place! Please support! We need places like this to do very well!
Edit: I just received my bill. It’s more affordable than most any restaurant out there. Two lunch dishes, dessert cake, gelato, and a coffee for Just under $50 total, after taxes and everything! I truly don’t know how they do it but I’m glad they do!

The cod was really good and the fries oh so good, they are fried in beef tallow. The desserts and to die for. I suggest you give them a visit. Ask about the history of the building.

Had lunch here and it was fantastic! There is a fantastic restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent and so was the food! What a great spot! There is a full old-school butcher shop, coffee shop and incredible bakery. I will definitely be back!!!

Highly Recommend!!! Great international food in Athens, Alabama!! The food was tasty - had the fish and chips and the batter was light and not greasy!!
The butcher shop is amazing! We met Chef Barry O’Connor and butcher Shane Brown. They gave terrific grilling advice on cooking the aged meat!! Chef Barry even got on a FaceTime call with my husband to give specific info.
