This is more than just a restaurant, and they encourage you to get up and take a look around while you are there waiting for your food. They have Corn hole for the kids in the very back courtyard, there is also a back patio. They have a meat market and a dessert section with gelato and cakes. The food is good and the atmosphere is laid back. When we were there the chefs seem to really enjoy their job. I honestly didn’t know what to think about the place before going in but it’s really laid back in the afternoon. I got the Braveheart Brisket & Shortrib Burger since that’s just what stood out to me and it was great. My wife got the Hot, Home Made Pastrami Sandwich which she absolutely loved.

Hubby and I love this place! The food is always very good and the service is excellent. Yesterday I had the Bubble and Squeak and hubby the Bangers and Mash. Very generous topping on the Bubble and Squeak! If there could be any improvement with at least these two dishes, I would say to serve it with a little less salt, and I mean just a tad less. I didn't really notice the salt until I was halfway through eating my entree and only because they give you so much food. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of jumbo shrimp in the topping. Our waitress recommended adding grilled asparagus to the dish and I was so happy I did. Tender, awesome asparagus!

On Valentine's Day, my wife and I arrived at 5:00 pm and were put on a waite list. They took our number to text or call plus gave a link to check on the update waiting. They told us 30-50 minutes but 1 hour later we noticed that the wait list online thanked us for our visit and asked us to come back soon... We immediately went inside and they informed us that they had canceled the wait list but were willing to take new names for a new wait list....After we have been there already an hour, This is the worst excuse for management that I have ever seen. We have had similar experiences to this before but this will be the last. Save your time and money and go someplace else.

Truly among the best fish and chips I've ever had. Every server we've had when my wife and I have visited has been quite good, often exceptional. We love coming here for special occasions or just for the heck of it when we want something a little different or don't feel like cooking.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing butcher shop. Fantastic and unusual variety of high-end meats. Not cheap, but extremely high-quality. Today we'll be leaving with some bison and camel ribeyes. Last time was Japanese A5 wagyu.

My Partner and I had an incredible first experience at The Salty Cod. The space feels so open and inviting, and the service was spot on—Chase took excellent care of us and didn't miss a beat. As a former craft bartender, I’m usually a tough critic, but the cocktail menu was genuinely impressive and well-executed. This place easily jumped to the top of our favorites list. We’ll definitely be back soon.
Our first time dining at this restaurant. The food was fantastic; it was a bit oily, but it tasted way better than we expected. Our waitress was very nice and made sure we got the things we needed. I highly recommend the steak. I got the 18oz boneless ribeye, and I was impressed; they cooked it perfectly medium rare. Give it a try and you wont be disappointed

We stopped in on a recent rainy afternoon for coffee and dessert. We had never been before, but had seen postings about their dessert offerings. We went in the restaurant door (there are at least 3 front doors to the different areas of The Salty Cod!), and a nice waitress walked us over to the dessert shop. Service was lackluster but ok. The coffee and dessert were great! Lots of delicious cakes and treats (gelato!) to choose from and fresh espresso based coffee.
The big negative, however, is the pervasive smell of raw fish everywhere. This would be unappetizing for anyone, especially since we were there for dessert, but doubly so since I'm vegetarian. We may get something to go in the future, but won't be dining there.

Coming back to edit my review. It has been almost 10 days since I last went and they forgot our dessert. We were told there would be a refund 3/5 days. And we’ve not gotten one. I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. I will no longer be going back.
I’ve been here about 6 times. I have had great experiences and great food everytime, except this last time. It was quite possibly the worst service I’ve had. We ordered 2 sides of fried green tomatoes as an appetizer they didn’t show up until we were done with our food. We had to even ask our waiter for them multiple times. Our drinks didn’t get refilled. And to be honest I’m not even sure our waiter came to our table but 3 times. One to take our order, one because we flagged him down and the last time for our check. The food here is always excellent. Now, I did order take out for my husband’s birthday. The food we got wasn’t nearly as good as sitting down. It was still hot when he brought it home. But it wasn’t great. They also forgot our desserts and I had to request a refund on them. I hope that next time I go it’ll be a much better experience.
