Big Mike's Steakhouse - Auburn

OH. MY. GOSH. This was by far the BEST restaurant I’ve ever been too. Nothing too “fancy”, just regular people, and a great intimate and quiet atmosphere. We started with the fried mushrooms, absolutely so great! Then had a ribeye medium rare. It was cooked to perfection!! I could not have asked for a better steak - oh my, the flavor was absolutely amazing! This is way better than long horns, Texas Roadhouse or any other chain you can go to! Oh and the strawberry cheesecake is to die for!!! If you’ve never been, definitely go!! In fact I’m having steak for breakfast 😁

We were in town for a Conference, table of 9, the server never mentioned any specials, we had to ask, she didn't know the full list of margarita flavors, brisket had so much fat on it, I had to trim all of it off which was a lot! Drinks were small, could barely taste any alcohol, she never came back to check on us until the tabs were due. We had to ask for bread but not given any saucers, and some utensils were not cleaned. This was not good for a first visit.

The hostess first set us at a small table for 5 people. But that was fixed. We drove 60 minutes to eat here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The atmosphere was not anything special and brown wrapping paper on your table that was tacky looking. Now to the food . The appetizers, bread and house salad was good but nothing special and we were hungry. Now the entree were fillets and ribeye and chop steak. Two fillets were sent back cause they were medium rare and should have been medium. It took 35 minutes to correct the situation. We are there to celebrate a birthday and only 3 people were eating together. It was our first at Big Mikes and was really looking forward to a treat. But it was very disappointing and really overpriced. We will not recommend or return.

Filet was cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar.

The lettuce was tired and wilty, bread was under cooked and doughy. The filet was supposed to be medium well. Not impressed.

This is the THIRD time we’ve been there and from the beginning the draft beer was flat every time. We left. Terrible that they offer draft beer and it is always flat. They need to fix their problem with the Co2. You would think in a “college” town or anywhere for that matter, that you would have good cold draft beer at a steak restaurant. Terrible management! We told the waiter but he didn’t do anything.

Ashton was wonderful. She was attentive and alert. Excellent NY strip prepared well. I would recommend for a good.streak.

Food wasn't that good to me. I had hamburger steak baked potato and salad. My server put the checkbook in my to go plate. Definitely don't have to eat here again. Overhyped to me

Worst steak I have ever had! Don’t go. Struggled to cut, stingy fat, butter wasn’t melted on it. Fries were cold. Save your money go somewhere else.

I haven't had any problems with the food nor the staff..I Normally get my order to go and the young ladies at the front are very nice and friendly ..My food is always Delicious 😋
