Seems like more of a breakfast spot than a dedicated bbq spot. Not sure why they advertise themselves as a BBQ joint when 90% of people only eat breakfast here
Has always been good, but green beans have been an absolute salt bomb last two times in a row. Seems like they would taste the food before selling it.
Great food, awesome customer service.
The best barbecue.
Really good breakfast spot. Food is above average and you get it quick. Opens early and is typically pretty crowded.

Local staple. Glad that it’s still here with good hours after ownership change. Food is still of same quality.
Fried potatoes, all sides, and pork bbq are still the stars of any meal here. Go for the hot BBQ sauce. Go for breakfast and eat in with some friends.
The only downside is that the place needs a deep clean! Every surface and sauce bottle and item needs deep immersion cleaning. But maybe that’s part of the appeal…

Food, service, and atmosphere were all just ok. Went for breakfast and was looking forward to fried eggs but it was game day so only scrambled eggs were offered. Ordered them with cheese but was served without cheese. It was pretty chaotic with people waiting for their food, so I didn’t even bother asking them to fix it. Byron’s is a favorite so I’ll be back, but this day was a miss.

#1 breakfast spot in town, and a must-have for me anytime I’m in town. Always very busy on the weekends, especially when there’s a home game, but that’s part of the allure. Friends and guests always want to come back again and again as well.
Get yourself a link, egg and cheese biscuit and you won’t regret it. Sweet tea is excellent too.

My wife’s fav ribs. If she ain’t happy ain’t no one happy. Think I’ll grab an extra bag of em right now bc she didn’t like my tone earlier and I’m in the dog house. This will save me some headaches later. Maybe I’ll get lucky too.

My wife recently stopped by to grab some breakfast. While she was waiting in the parking lot behind someone trying unsuccessfully to park their over sized truck, she noticed a spot on the other side of the lot. She proceeded to drive to that spot and park. The owner stormed out of the restaurant aggressively yelling and screaming at my wife. It was the most insane thing that has ever happened to her for daring to park. The new owners are not good people, and this place should be avoided at all cost. Do NOT support this business. Go to Chuck's in Opelika!
Best. Breakfast. Ever. Byron's Smokehouse is an Auburn staple, and when you enter you'll understand why. So rare nowadays to find a restaurant that preserves the vintage style without losing its touch. Byron's is perfection.
