LiveOaks has a great location and atmosphere and offers amazing specials and food. However, the lack of service on behalf of their servers makes the overall service experience unsatisfying. I have eaten at LiveOaks many times, and regardless of if they are busy or not, I am left waiting over an hour to receive my food. In addition to this, the servers are often absent and never check-in on customers, as I have been left waiting 25 minutes for a drink refill, many times. LiveOaks has a lot of potential given the atmosphere, location, food quality, and specials that they offer, but, the abandonment of service on behalf of their servers often makes me hesitant to go back.

Service was terrible. Our server was outside and usually I have a lot of patience for a bartender who’s managing tables as well as tending bar. In this case it wasn’t busy, we set 30 minutes without a server checking on us, the bar tender was attentive to a group she was having fun with at the bar but everyone else wasn’t attended too. In addition our order was wrong and we had to insist she come by after waiting far too long. It’s to bad too, what food we did have was really good.

We put our name in for a table (everything was on waitlist) only to have a family walk up and immediately get seated. The young women taking names and seating people was very rude and too busy talking to patrons to pay attention to customers needs. Luckily we found a table at the bar where the bartenders were very good!

We were the first people to sit down. Last to get our drinks. Took forever to get another round. Waited about a hour for our food that came out cold and was disappointing. Not enough staff for the amount of people there! Will not be back!

I had the Pan-Seared Tuna and Seafood Pasta at LiveOaks, and both were absolutely delicious 😋 The pan-seared tuna was tender and cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside while remaining soft inside. Though there were a few slightly chewy parts, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The flavors, textures, and seasoning were all spot on. The seafood pasta was perfectly balanced—not too heavy or creamy, but with just the right amount of spice to cut through any richness, making the flavors truly exceptional. The atmosphere was great, and the service was friendly, making for a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely come back again!

We've been going here for years but it's gone downhill in the last couple of years. Bar was about 1/2 full, still took 30+ minutes to get food after ordering. 1 waitress hustling, 3 others standing around. Ordered chicken ranch flatbread. No chicken, no bacon, some cheese and ranch dressing, not good.

We always enjoy going to have appetizers and drinks at their beautiful outdoor bar! Great for watching SEC football.
Burger reminded me of a Wendy’s Baconator which is fine but not for $17. Blackened grilled chicken breasts were dry and plain with ground pepper flakes. Not quite what we expected. Guess there was a reason that they had lots of availability when there was an hour wait at Hamilton’s.
