I love Panera, but this one sucks. They are out of EVERYTHING. (like how are you going to be out of butter? its a panera BREAD) Always slower than the expected preparation time and only read special instructions half the time. I really want it to improve because I love having a Panera on campus, but their staff sucks and they don't show signs of even caring about their customers. Oh yeah and over $3 for a fountain drink is ABSURD!

They turn the app off during business hours so you can not order via the app. Which is really an inconvenience.

In two years of being in Auburn, I've never heard anything good about this location, but I needed a quick snack so I decided to finally give it a try. Here's what I discovered.First of all, just like Hey Day market across the street, they don't accept cash--which was my intended method of payment. Secondly, it's online orders only--which as a newcomer, you don't find out about until you walk to the counter. So your first human interaction with a Panera Bread employee is disappointment and rejection. Before you even get to order, there's that weird post-covid vibe where you walk into a crowded restaurant lobby that has no food in sight and everyone is sitting around staring at their phones. But I guess we're supposed to accept this as the new normal.Another problem is that they were out of multiple items. Understandable. It happens. The key factor is how management handles this situation. Instead of putting a sign out or making an announcement to the hungry humans sitting in the lobby, they waited for each customer to come up one-by-one and ask why their item was missing from the bag. This is carelessness at best, or blatant disregard for the customer's time and needs at worst. There is no excuse for this. Why is it that Chik-Fil-A and other neighboring restaurants can get it so right while this Panera gets it so wrong for so long?Attention Auburn students: If you calmly boycotted this store for 5 business days in a row, I bet they would get their act together quick fast in a hurry. Very easy solution to implement for this problem.

I love Panera Bread, just like other Auburn students. But this specific location in the library can be an absolute hassle. Customer service is unprofessional and very inattentive. They are swamped due to a lot of orders around lunchtime, but so is Chick-fil-A, and they do it efficiently with the partnership of GrubHub, which has a reasonable ETA to know exactly when to pick up your order, others around me that were waiting to get there food ordered early in the morning and they still did not receive there food on time due to the mass rush of orders they receive. There definitely needs to be a change of management or possibly need to close and regroup and make things more efficient or find a better alternative so orders can be processed and given accordingly. I noticed lack of work ethic and unhelpful customer service skills that are just not helpful for anyone because people are hungry. At least I got refunded.

the rudest employees ever. ESPECIALLY that one older lady who usually fills up the tea or coffee WHAT A RUDE PERSON. why does she even work there? she acts like she is being forced to work there with the rudest mean attitude to any question asked, no matter how polite you are to her. shame on her. what does she want? if you do not like your work then leave and don't punish others.

unprofessional staff, they complain about making modified food and drinks (I modify what I get to make it healthier and choose different bread for sandwich and such), and they talk about you as you stand right there to get your food. If you want to make my experience better, invest in your staff. thank you

Huge high five to this Panera Bread location for delivering over and above for our catering order for 25! Every order was completed with individual names on the bags, all orders were correct and staff was incredibly helpful to help us load it in the car. Our group of hungry swimmers are from out of town and we had no idea this was the library location, but we're pleasantly surprised with their attention to detail, service and quality. Well done, Panera@ Auburn Library! You are shining example of Panera done right! Thank you!

I work on campus so I order coffee/drinks and pastries regularly here with the Sip Club. As long as I time my order to be outside the main rush hours, it's fine. The Sip Club is really useful for those of us who want daily coffee without the hefty price tag, since after 4 cups, it's essentially free the rest of the month. The pickup is usually on-time, within ten minutes of ordering. I have only had them mess up my order once, and it was a minor issue of a breakfast sandwich being on brioche instead of ciabatta. Not the end of the world. The problem is when you try to order anything between like 10:45/11ish and 1:30ish. The wait is always 1+ hours long. Once I wanted to go for lunch here with my colleague, and I had to have them cancel my order because after 45 minutes of waiting (I placed the order 15 min before we over there too) it still was not ready and I had to go back to work. To their credit, they canceled the order easily and my charge was refunded. My colleague also left, went to run an errand, came back and her food was only ready nearly 90 minutes after the initial order. They should either have (MANY) more workers during the rush lunch hours or turn off mobile ordering so that you can only order in person and thus the workers can keep up with the amount of orders better. However, they don't even have a person taking in-person orders at any time, even during slow ones. You either have to order on the app or through the kiosk. Every regular Panera I've been in, including the other one here in Auburn, has at least one person working as a cashier.Dietary restrictions: This is not related to this particular Panera but all of them. It would be a really easy change to the menus to make the soups that don't have meat in them to be vegetarian, but yet some of them, such as the Broccoli and Cheddar soup, use chicken stock. This is also not labeled well to specify that it's not vegetarian; based on the general ingredients, one could falsely assume it was. I didn't realize this until I looked at the ingredients on the website.

Everything about this Panera is terrible. The employees are terrible, it is never in stock of anything, and the app for what the do have in stock is never right. I have had 3 orders now where they don’t have anything and they don’t make my food or give a refund. They just tell you to contact customer service for a refund, and customer service has yet to give me a refund on any of the orders. Do not go here. I will make it my goal to tell every incoming student at auburn to never go to this Panera until I get a refund.

Took 45 minutes for a half salad. Workers are just standing and talking. They don’t call out the orders when it’s ready. Panera at George Mason University in northern Virginia is 1000x friendlier and more efficient so it’s possible to have a good quality Panera on campus.

Good food, quick service and easy to order from the kiosk. Sometimes the catering and online orders can back up service speed, but it is a great place outside of rush times to eat and get work done.

I've had the new caprese and it's really good but the library auburn panera just butchered it. The tomato's are soggy from the excessive amounts of sauces and fluids they dumped on this sad sandwhich
