Amazing grilled chicken tenders. Juicy and cooked perfectly with the right amount of flavoring.

Went here after church on the recommendation of one of my daughters, and let me tell you, she earned her halo for this one. Turns out one of our senior Sunday school groups from church comes here regularly, and the owner actually sets up a long row of tables just for them (which tells you everything you need to know about how this place treats people).
The food? Excellent. The chicken was seasoned right, fried right, and tasted like it was cooked by someone who genuinely loves poultry. The ranch dressing was on point too - creamy, tangy, and made me question every bottled version in my fridge.
Now, one of us did get the three-tender meal, which indeed came with three tenders, but I’m not gonna lie… those tenders were a little on the “fasting” side of the serving spectrum. A fourth one would have really sealed the deal as a meal instead of a hearty snack. That said, the chicken tenders on my sandwich were massive, so I’ll call it even.
Bonus points for variety, to; this isn’t just a chicken shack. They’ve got fried catfish and burgers on the menu too, which makes it a perfect spot for families or groups with mixed cravings. The catfish looked golden and crispy, and I’m already planning to get that next time. As for the person at our table who got the burger? I couldn’t get much feedback because they were too busy chewing, which I’ll take as a glowing endorsement.
Fries were cooked perfectly, crisp outside and soft inside, and when I asked if they offered a military discount, they graciously covered my drink. That’s the kind of gesture that earns loyalty.
Actually, did I mention the sweet potato waffle fries? Cuz if I didn't, I'm doing your disservice. These were literally one of the best sweet potato fries of any type I've had anywhere. Unbelievably delicious, crispy, and perfect. Perfect. Maybe some cinnamon sugar honey butter dipping sauce would pair and nicely 🙂
If you’re in the area, skip the chain spots and head here. Rocco’s Chicken Joint isn’t just serving food - it’s serving kindness, flavor, and community on a plate. Highly recommend.

the best chicken spot in auburn
Just not good. I want to love it, but the food is mediocre. I've had their burger, chicken, fries, tater tots. Just not great- especially for the price, which is not a standard one. Not much flavor. The sweet potato fries are good, though

My doghouse burger meal was identical to the kids cheeseburger meal. And it cost $5 more and doesnt even come with a drink. Staff is friendly but the food is NOT worth what they are charging.

It’s pretty overpriced and the food is just not good unfortunately. The staff was friendly and the inside was nice and clean, but the chciken fingers were pretty bad, and the fries were even worse. Catfish sandwich was not great and the burger and tots were actually decent. 25 dollars for 2 people to eat no drinks.

I was genuinely excited to try this place for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations. The lemon pepper wings were overly salty, the fries were cold and hard, and the toast wasn’t toasted, just a plain slice of light bread. The tenders also weren’t good.
That said, the customer service at the drive-thru was great, she was friendly and welcoming. I really wanted to enjoy it, but overall, the food just fell short.

I had the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten in my life. They were just the right amount of crunch on the outside, served with honey mustard. I also got the doghouse burger. It was great as well. The burger was cooked to perfection, the bun was fried, and then the whole thing wrapped in foil, so it steams it a little. Soo good! 100% recommend.

Catfish sandwich was awesome, the fries, no so much. Switch fries or give an alternative and it would really boost the food score.

Rocco’s Chicken Joint is a solid go-to when you’re craving chicken fingers, especially at lunchtime. The food is consistently good, and the lunch specials offer a nice value. It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a chicken finger place—no frills, just quick, satisfying comfort food.
The atmosphere definitely isn’t the draw here, which is why I usually opt for takeout. That said, Rocco’s has one big advantage: it’s the only drive-thru option in the Moore’s Mill / Ogletree area, which makes it super convenient when you’re short on time or just don’t feel like cooking. Nothing fancy, but a reliable option to have nearby.

Service was fast and the food was good especially the catfish and wings. I bought 1 filet when I should’ve bought 2 after my daughter ate up my fish lol
