Had the cat fish and chicken with Mac and cheese and slaw. The slaw was really GREAT. Sadly the rest was not great it didn't have any flavor!I read reviews and I really wanted to love it! The fish had zero flavor and the chicken was not anything special. The Mac and cheese was nothing special and was probably the worst I ever had.I may try it again! Maybe it was an off day. I love soul food and have high expectations when it comes to soul food.Pannie George is alot better!Again, I will try again, maybe. Sorry for the low review. Just wanted to be honest.

Fantastic food! Best fried chicken ever! My son had the smothered pork chop and said it melted in his mouth. I had mac n cheese and cajun cabbage (could have made a meal just of the cajun cabbage - heavenly). My son had rice & gravy and the squash and onions. Everything was seasoned perfectly. It was so good I ordered to go plates! Friendly staff. We will be back! I should have taken photos but it was so good we forgot.

We've eaten there once before and had oxtails that were delicious. However, today we saw that hamburger steak was on the lunch menu and drove from Opelika to pick up. This was not hamburger steak, but was preformed, frozen mystery meat that was quite firm. Not at all what we were expecting. No peach cobbler available per the server, even though it was on the menu. The cornbread had sugar in it. The mac cheese and mashed potatoes were just okay.
I went to this restaurant for some good southern cooking before attending a basketball game at Auburn. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. The food was DELICIOUS and very reasonably priced. It was a very comfortable environment. The owner was also very nice. I will definitely return to try out more dishes!

Southern & Savory is the BEST southern food cuisine we have in our area! It’s like eating Sunday dinner after church. It’s so comforting! Do your tastebuds a favor and go see Ms. Kay and her wonderful team. Their service is nice and professional! Go on an empty stomach. You will not be disappointed!
