Hash browns were “undercooked” and had a weird soybean oil or very stale flavor. The scrambled egg whites were good. I agree with others, the chicken sausage could have been cooked more. I wish plain grits were offered, they are cheap to make and a healthier option than cheese grits. I honestly believe a trained chef is not preparing these meals. I felt terrible for the table next to us, their three children did not like the pancakes, left their food, and left hungry!. Honestly, the owner needs to consult with a trained chef to revamp/elevate the recipes—you are almost there… First Watch in Columbus is our favorite breakfast chain, they would be an excellent benchmark.
This place is supposed to be about the pancakes and they where nothing to write home about. It tastes like cake batter, plus every drink is a no refill except water. Additionally, the service there was abysmal. Vary bad experiencem
I don't know where to start as soon as we arrived it seemed like they were short staffed and we had no waitress. The floors were dirty and the restaurant had a funny smell. The food was not good at all. I expected better because it looked nice online. I really wanted our money back because we paid $78 and you have to pre pay before you get your food but we just left.
Staks Kitchen is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is charming and cozy perfect for a relaxing breakfast. We were lucky to have Dominique as our server, and she was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful, she guided us through the menu and helped us choose some amazing dishes.
We ordered the honey vanilla and cinnamon lattes both were rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For food, we tried the pork skillet and the shrimp omelette, and everything was absolutely delicious. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
Honestly, we wouldn’t change a thing. The service, food, and ambiance were all spot on. Staks Kitchen was completely worth the stop, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
This place was amazing! We definitely will be back
mediocre and expensive, go to blue bagel
The staff was amazing and the strawberry pancakes were the best I’ve had!
Very friendly and great food!
We were greeted and given instructions on how to proceed with ordering. It wait to order was shirt as the owner stepped in to take it order with a smile. The food was amazing. The wait staff was accommodating and very responsive.
Over priced, sub-par food and service. I’m surprised that this restaurant has survived for as long as it has. Two people, standard breakfast, 63.00 not including tip (at an order counter). Hash browns were tasteless and reheated. Food was bland. Service was not great. We came, we saw, we tried, no need to do it again. 🤷🏼♀️

Terrible food, even worse owners they ruined a family , read about Brice Bailey
We chose Staks for breakfast and drinks before an early game instead of tailgating. Long line but handled quickly. Good and interesting menu selection but very rigid. They will only cook food one way, which means hash browns couldn’t be made crispy and in my view were well under cooked with minimal browning if any. In contrast, bacon came out over cooked and brittle and not the as some on the table. Sent back and they cooked it perfectly. Their biscuits and gravy were good but not the “white” savory sausage gravy I was expecting from the menu but yellowish and fairly strong tasting with lots of butter or possibly cheese. The consistency seemed as if it had been made the day before and settle/separated. Still good. Once we hit 8:30, good Bloody Mary’s and mimosas.
Parking: Parking structure across alley in the rear. Enter through back door.

Our pancakes tasted like they had been made awhile and kept warm. Very thick and hard to cut

My husband wanted to try this place out, so we brought some friends from out of town with us. First, there’s a long line you have to wait in to get a table assigned to your group. Then you have to take your table number and wait in a second long line to place your order. So the majority of your time is spent waiting in various lines. The service was nice enough, especially the guy who brought out our food. The prices are pretty high for the quality of food. I ordered the Cheesesteak Omelet with Gouda grits. The omelet was overcooked, but edible. Its saving grace was the salsa on top. The grits were well cooked but lacked any seasoning. My husband ordered the pancakes and chicken. The chicken was good, especially with the sriracha honey sauce, but the pancakes were extremely dry. One of our friends ordered the French toast which he stated was your standard French toast and hard to mess up. Our other friend ordered a chicken wrap which she enjoyed, but her fries were unsalted and very bland. We noticed that most of the plates being cleaned up had at least half the meal still left on them. The place has a nice aesthetic and the food is presented nicely, but leaves much to be desired flavor wise.

I understand why this establishment has a 3.6 rating. The food quality and customer service are notably better at Waffle House. The owner lacked professionalism and had a bad attitude, which further diminished the dining experience. It might have been a wiser decision to retain the previous restaurant at this location. I’m curious to see what replaces this venue, as it doesn’t seem likely to remain for much longer.
