A rustic-chic restaurant known for bourbon, bacon, and big flavors. I had the bison burger with duck fat fries — juicy and rich, perfectly paired with a local IPA. The bar has that cozy wood-and-leather look, and the staff make it feel like a small-town gem.
Came here while visiting from out of state for a football game. Our group of four was in opposing team apparel. On a game day we had a very fair wait and were treated kindly. Once seated our server was great. Friendly and attentive with well thought out suggestions. The food was great and was surprisingly fast. What a great place with true southern hospitality. Our family could not have been happier.
Coming from NY and Chicago where food it the top standard with the James Bared Awards I had to see what Alabama was all about. I had the chance to dine at The Hound in Alabama and really enjoyed the experience. My friend knew the owners there so I even got to meet the owners, a wonderful couple originally from California, who now own three restaurants in town. They were so warm and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the visit.
