We are staying on Dauphin Island but heard this restaurant is very good. We took a little drive to try it out. Definitely glad we did. Worth the quick drive from the island. We had 3 kids and 4 adults. The kids had cheeseburgers and fries. The adults had fantail shrimp, shrimp po boys and chicken tenders. The shrimp was fantastic! My sister said the chicken tenders were so good. Not frozen ones. 😄 The staff was very friendly and took care of us. The decorations and environment is welcoming and fun to look at. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic place to eat. Crab cakes are the best by far and the service is great.

We decided to take a little trip over to Bayou LA Batre. We happened upon a nice seafood establishment called Catalina Restaurant so we stopped there for lunch. We enjoyed their raw oysters, fried oysters, Hurricane shrimp, popcorn shrimp and fantail shrimp. Everything was so good. Our server was fast, attentive and really nice.

A great Bayou la Batre type restaurant with good food and service. If you want all of the frills that you'll most likely pay extra, go to a Franchised restaurant in the city and miss all of the shrimp boats and ship builders in the area. Sure they make a mistake every once and awhile, many are far worse since covid. I like it !

Quality is typically very good. although inconistant. occasionally, dending on the cook, fish can be over cooked. Please, never put sugar in hush puppies. Is there a Yankie cook on board, if so educate this person or send this person back North.
