We were able to eat outside with our puppy. Wish it was closer to us would be our go to lunch place. Thanks for your hospitality.

Big Al's Restaurant is a family-owned place that offers delicious food and friendly service. The busy restaurant prepares orders quickly, even during weekday lunches. The Philly cheesesteak is a popular choice, with flavorful steak, though it can be slightly dry. Other menu items are cooked well, and the portions are generous. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive, creating a nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the quality and size of the meals. Big Al's is a good spot for visitors to Tuscaloosa looking for a satisfying meal, but it's helpful to check their hours before visiting.
The restaurant is known for its hot bar specials and kid-friendly menu, which includes a favorite burger and fries. It is wheelchair-accessible, with a ramp and special tables for those in wheelchairs. Many customers enjoy the food, with one saying the steak and shrimp with two sides was so good they couldn’t stop eating. The atmosphere is country-style, with good food and nice people. The salad bar and Sunday buffet are highly praised, and the service is always good. Parking can be busy, and prices are rising, but this is common everywhere. Some customers don’t like paying extra for card payments, but overall, Big Al's remains a popular choice for a hearty and satisfying meal in Tuscaloosa.
