I frequently eat at this location and I gotta give props when they are due. Now that I think about it, every Captain D’S I have visited deserves props. The Bessemer crew is always on point, serves quickly, and even shows you what you’re buying before they bag it up. The staff is always friendly and the environment is always comfortable and full of regular customers. My favorite thing about Captain D’S is they actually provide healthy choices on their menu as well as the fried delicious stuff which is not easy to find in fast food.

Pleasant place to go eat. Sometimes the service is slow but for the most part the food is good. This is a restaurant if you want it fresh Tell them.
Fish was half done, employers trying to rush the rest of the workers saying she’s ready to go at 230pm. Y’all are slow and lazy ,disrespectful smelling like weed. They just don’t want to be there! Y’all are going to end up shutting down because this is so ridiculous of how adults act ant treat the customers. Then they’ll try to get you to get something they choose because they don’t want to correct a mistake! I will never go back to Captain ads Bessemer.

Attempted to place an order at the Drive Thru Window on Friday evening 1/12/2024. Said that I wanted to order the Battered Fish Meal off of the Kids Menu, the person rudely said what do you want off of the Kid's Menu????!!!!! I calmy said the "Battered Fish Meal". She then goes on to rudely and loudly scream "I didn't hear you "!!!! I then drove away to another restaurant.

Drive through wasn't ridiculous like the last time I went to the Bessemer location.Only slight complaint is my rice was hella dry, but juice from the green beans straightened it out rapidly.

My husband and I ordered meals for take out, our request was cooked crispy and hot. We were disappointed that upon arriving home the food was lukewarm , the fries were rubbery. I spoke with Monica the manager on duty as we placed the orde and reiterated the aforementioned request. After watiting 12 minutes in the lobby for the order and after hubby checked the order at pickup I felt confident it would be as ordered. We live less than 2 minutes from the restaurant and I can assure you what we received was not crispy and nowhere near hot. I spoke with Monica by phone and informed her we were both disappointed , she expressed being short of staff and agreed to replace the order one day at my discretion. While I'm empathetic she's short staffed I can never be okay being served unsatisfactory food . Monica and the cashier were both courteous and professional during our visit.
