Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

My friends and I had the best time being served by Dominique at Cracker Barrel in Bessemer. Servers are hit and miss these days in giving good service, so we were so delighted to have such a wonderful and attentive waitress who gave us excellent service. Dominique was so friendly and outright charming and made us laugh so hard. I haven't had such a good time out in a long time. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. I was not disappointed either as the food was excellent. Thank you, Dominique, for being so great at your job. I will always ask for you when I come to that Cracker Barrel.

We haven't had much luck at Cracker Barrels lately but we wanted to eat this type food so we stopped in. Our waitress was good and the food was excellent.

I had a great experience at the Cracker Barrel in Bessemer, AL. We were seated right away, even on Thanksgiving morning, which was a nice surprise. The menu was limited for the holiday, but the breakfast we ordered was really good and freshly made.

Our server, Tony, was the highlight of our visit. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was truly a pleasure to interact with. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming — exactly what you hope for in great service.

Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable visit. I definitely recommend this location, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Tony as your server!

Im a Cancer patient at the moment, and I can only eat certain foods. I like the potato soup yall offer. Well the Bessemer location didn't have any. So, I requested just a bowl of broth from the chicken and dumplings. I didn't want the chicken nor the dumplings because I cant chew it at the moment (oral cancer). Well, Rebecca the kitchen manager said, she was still going to charge me full price for the broth, even though there would be no meat or no dumplings in it. Long story short, I never got anything to eat! My wife's food was brought out, but she finished her meal, and I was so upset, I said forget it, im ready to leave. I want to thank Cindy Nelson for trying to help me. Rebecca needs to be trained on compassion and empathy with cracker barrels customers!

My fried okra was cold, soft, and not freshly cooked. Portion size of okra was small. The other food on my plate was piping hot and fresh.

Tuesday Special, chicken fried pork chops were very good. Mashed potatoes were lukewarm. Will order again with seasoned rice to replace the potatoes.

Service was good but the food was just ok, I ordered the ny stake and the flavor was good but it was hard to chew. besides that everything else was good.
