Hands down best vegan restaurant my family has ever eaten at!! Warm and friendly welcoming and the place smells amazing of great food! The chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies took me back to my childhood. We travel to thirty states and have been vegan for almost a decade this place is truly one of the best places we have had the joy of experiencing!

Mrs. Israel showed great customer service, very genuine, and passionate about helping her community heal through herbs and food. I loved eating the Kaleicious wrap very flavorful. Also, if you are just transitioning into a plant based diet she has great resources and food items that make you feel like you’re not missing out.If you want to heal, feel vibrant and energized it’s time we choose better food options and the Good Health Cafe helps us do just that!It is possible to eat good and feel even better!

Menu variety, staff service. We stopped by on our way to Tuscaloosa and we’re delighted by the helpfulness of the owner, the food quality, and the wide array of choices. The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. Also such a unique and local food option vs rushing through a fast food drive-thru. We have family in the area and will absolutely be returning!

Bessemer is a gritty industrial area. Imagine our surprise at finding the best vegan restaurant of our lives there. We shared the mushroom burger and chic'un burrito. Burger and just about everything else homemade. The best we've had anywhere. We had sides of field peas and (baked) sweet potato fries. She does not fry, just bake. It was a wait because it's only the owner/chef and people walk in and call for carryout. Well worth the wait. She calls it "vegan soul food". So delicious and hearty.

Tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to return! When I walked in the door the owner was super sweet and very attentive to each customer that came in. I definitely felt welcomed!! I ended up getting the mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and the Philly chicken wrap with buffalo cauliflower which were both amazing. Sis is in the kitchen putting her heart and soul into this food. Totally exceeded my expectations!!!

Pretty sure I've reviewed this place before, but I love it so much I'm doing it again. DELICIOUS food and smoothies -- healthy, fresh, AND made with love, you can just tell. My lunch today = the farmer's market wrap (!) with butter beans (!) and the yellow gold smoothie with ginger and sea moss added (!). I would rather come here once a month, as a special treat, than go to cheaper food joints four times in a month. Really grateful to have this place here.
