This is one of our go to places when we are in the area. Food is delicious, service is awesome and cost is reasonable. They also have lunch specials until 3pm which is great.

Was seated at 3:30pm hardly no one in restaurant was brought chips and dip immediately no drink for 20. When I finally said something the waiters were so rude. We have been coming here on Friday afternoon's for ever. Not ANYMORE!

As a Mexican American, I can be pretty picky when it comes to “Mexican” food but Habaneros in Bessemer truly impressed me! Not only was the food authentic and delicious, but the service was also outstanding. Our server, Uriel, was attentive and friendly with great menu suggestions. He recommended the #21, which includes flank steak and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans, it was packed with flavor! I also had their Cadillac margarita which was refreshing and made to perfection. My husband and one of my sons had the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, and my other son ordered the chicken flautas (crispy rolled tortillas filled with seasoned chicken). Everything was so good! However, I do wish the flautas came with rice and beans.
Overall, We were seated right away, and despite it being a little busy, our food came out hot and fast. The atmosphere was lively with great music, and everything looked very clean and well kept. If you like spice, I highly recommend trying their hot salsa it was top notch! My family and I will definitely be coming back..

There was definitely a language barrier happening with my waiter. He even brought someone additional to the table to help him and I still was not able to get the drink I was requesting. The food is not the authentic version I’m used to as a Cali native. I probably would not return.

My wife and I arrived about 2:35pm on Saturday May 17, 2025. She ordered the pork carnitas with black beans and fresh onions as opposed to sauteed. The food arrive hot and clearly fresh. The carnitas were perfectly cooked and were very tender. Black beans were good. She really enjoyed everything.
I ordered the shrimp quesadilla with black beans. There is pico de Gallo on the inside with the shrimp. Comes with cheese sauce on top of the quesadilla. There were a LOT of shrimp. The food was hot and fresh. REALLY tasty.
Our waiter was really nice and helpful to us. We cannot wait to go back.

We have been here 3 or 4 times, but we definitely won’t be coming back. We stopped by today out of convenience while looking for Mexican food. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

My tilapia tasted awful, and my husband’s chalupa looked more like a regular tortilla than a proper fried chalupa. The black beans were worse than canned refried beans I make at home.

Please consider serving authentic Mexican food. This was definitely our last visit.
