Went to the door at 5 min to 8am IT was locked went back at 1 min after 8 still locked. People in side looked at me, one lady rolled her eyes. Well I'll go on down the road!! At 10 after 8am before I Ieft a car pulled up and the doors were still locked down. All I can say they are losing business and no tips. Lazy darn people. Which make me think the food will suck. I've been here many times over the years and was happy to return, but it only takes one bad experience to change my mind.

We really like it here. Saturday buffet is good. Salad bar is always fresh with plenty of good toppings. My wife likes the catfish, and the fried chicken instantly takes me back to my grandmother’s kitchen in Kentucky. Yams and okra are good. Friendly staff and fellow customers. We’ll drive 45 minutes from Alabaster on a weekend when we just want some good Southern food.

Service is good and the food is too. If you are in the area and hungry, stop by and grab a bite to eat. Be sure time Wednesdays to get grilled burgers.

This is just for the buffet. HORRIBLE, order from the menu it might be ok. BBQ meat taste like boiled roast, vegetables were from a can with added salt etc, fish was greasy. Salad bar was good, fresh and enough toppings. Price was $33.14 for 2 buffet and 2 teas, server set the tea down and disappeared, we couldn’t eat it. Wasted the money however now we know not to go back. Disappointed.
Went for lunch on 7-3-25, turnip greens and green beans straight out of the can unseasoned.fried chicken not even close as good as any chicken chain. Not going back

The restaurant is nasty. It could really use a good cleaning. We sat at a table by the wall that had more food on it than my plate. We had a cheeseburger and fries at lunch. The patty was like cardboard and the fries tasted like they were fried in grease where they fry fish. Our “server”, and I use the term loosely, never smiled and obviously hates her job. The cashier was hateful. A glass of water is $1.50, outrageous. They charge 4% fee for using a credit card. We won’t return.

My grandson and I went for the special tonight, which was a cheeseburger with the meat cooked on the grill fries and I changed my fries to onion rings. It was delicious. I highly recommend it!

I've enjoyed this place for years. It's a regular stop on my work travels. During the week or weekends. It's been a while but I used to really enjoy the Sunday after breakfast buffet. Never a backup. In and out.
