This place is amazing. Staff is incredible. Greeted from the door as family. Atmosphere is an old Annabella home. Rooms divide nicely to the quiet and quaint to large and gathering.Food is great with a limited menu to create perfect dishes. The home is reported to be haunted. Lights can flicker, and you may see faces in the 2nd story windows as you enter. No worries, they won't eat your dish.Stop by if you find yourselves deep in the woods of Camden. Only down side is they are only open Thursday thru Saturday. So getting a table may prove difficult. Call ahead for reservations.

Saturday before New Year's Eve we decided to leave the hunting camp and head out to Gain's Ridge Dinner Club in Camden Alabama. We had a fantastic evening. Service was awesome and our server was super sweet. We even forgave her for the Auburn sweatshirt she wore. She was going to school there, so it made sense. The food was good. It is nothing fancy, but it was executed well. Sometimes simple foods done right are the best and the hardest to do. The menu has things like fried pickle appetizers, burgers, simple steaks and catfish. I liked it. I don't always need to be fancy, but this is fancy for this community. I am from Arkansas so I know this type of fancy. I imagine this place is jam-packed at prom and around holidays. Look, this is probably the best restaurant in the county, at least one of them. This is rural country. I respect that. I am a redneck at heart, and by my rearing in Arkansas. I grew up in the woods. This is high end country cooking. The house is also beautiful. The staff are friendly and accommodating too. We had a good time. You should too.

Beautiful old home converted into a lovely, if possibly haunted, resturant. I had the steak which was tasty and well cooked. All the salad dressings are homemade. The bread was fantastic and also a homemade. The homemade hush puppies were to die for.

Excellent experience at a true Black Belt treasure. This place is very fancy and genuinely is a restaurant inside an old home. They do not have a kids menu or kids cups, etc, so know that ahead of time. The food is very good, I frequently get the ribeye as I did this time and it is always cooked. Good with a nice, char flavor. The menu is a bit limited from what you might expect, but that is due to the location and resources, I'm sure. We got the fried pickle appetizer and they were very fresh and homemade and delicious. The entrées were both delicious as well as the black bottom pie we got for dessert. Our server was very friendly and attentive, as were the hosts of the restaurant. This is a great experience for a fancy dinner in the middle of nowhere. Definitely recommend you give it a try.

I just made reservations for two for tonight. I love dining at Gainesridge when I come down to south Alabama. I always order my favorite meal and it never disappoints-seafood casserole! Save room for dessert!

All trips to Camden must include stopping by Gainesridge Dinner Club. The food is good and the service is excellent. The prices are normal. Great addition to Camden

Had reservations for 7:00 p.m., which I highly recommend. We will be back. Fried green tomatoes are some of best that I have had lately. Ribeye and fried catfish were excellent with baked potatoes. Ambiance is quiet. Only recommendation is that front sign be repainted for recognition of restaurant.

We had a delicious dinner in this beautiful antebellum home surrounded by antiques. Fried snapper with shrimp and David sauce was awesome! My husband had fried catfish and loved it! I’m still thinking about those homemade rolls. Maddox was our waitress- perfectly attentive and sweet. She suggested the snapper and I’m so happy she did. We’re coming back-soon!

Was on a day tour. Was told we would get chicken in a sauce but there was truly only the most minuscule amount of chicken shreds . All cream of chicken sauce. The green beans were good. We were disappointed not to be served their signature dish of Black Bottom Pie, a specialty of the area. The old home from 1827 was interesting and the servers nice

The food was delicious a true southern style meal. The shrimp gumbo was made with a dark roux and lots of shrimp. House salad with choice of dressings brought to you. We enjoyed plump shrimp scampi with rice and shrimp and crab casserole with vegetables. The biscuits are made from scratch. Dessert was chocolate bottom pie I want the recipe. All of this in an old plantation home. Can’t wait to return. The service was very good and owners come out to each table
