This was our second visit since the opening with hopes this time would be some better, but that was not the case. Though we were greeted wonderfully, our server was not certain about available food options. Pricing was still high for some foods for this small town. Table had a greasy film that was not appealing. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken and a smashed burger basket that was supposed to have peppers on the side, which didn't get written on the ticket so they didn't come with the basket. The fries were very greasy, not crisp. The salad had several pieces that were bad so it was not finished. The grilled chicken strips were too tough to separate with a fork. We had high hopes, but not likely to return.

The staff was so friendly we met the owner very nice. The food was delicious! I had the blackened salmon my husband had the white fish fried . Veggies and baked potatoes delicious. Atmosphere layed back very welcome atmosphere.

This was some great seafood. Being in an older building may be the biggest downside to this place. Nothing fancy but the food is home style good cooking. Fried shrimp, perfect and very possible the best I have ever tried. Perfect crispness, perfectly fried and the perfect amount of spicy seasoning. As long as they are this good we will go back. They were trying a “hush puppy” style boudin and they were great, lightly crisp out side, soft inside, and complimented much of the other foods very well. Boiled shrimp as good as anyone’s, perfectly cooked, an ready to season to your taste. Boiled fish, what I would typically call steamed, was great as well. Crab claws, hush puppies, chicken fingers, and more on the buffet. Corn on the cob was perfection, I enjoyed it with no condiments and did not miss them. A decent selection of vegetables as well as a salad bar. Prices seem a bit high, but considering the buffet was all you can eat seafood, it is very reasonable. If you get a chance give them a try.

We had the fried shrimp and Cajun shrimp, both were excellent. Split the order of 12 in half. I had the Crawfish PoBoy with fries and slaw. Excellent, the bread was fresh and the food was hot. Give them a try if you’re in Centre AL.
