The food is amazing to start off. The service was phenomenal. My son was afraid of the chef and another employee made him a paper crane to help him get through it. So nice and friendly. Definitely will be eating here anytime we want hibachi. Love the atmosphere. Very clean and professional.Parking: Plenty of spots to parkKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly

Great sushi and the chef is very accommodating if you want him to make something special for you. The selection is limited but what they have is fresh and good. The tables are good and the scallop dinner was delicious and the scallops were huge!! We will be back!!

The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was as expected. The cook was fun and entertained the kids. The food was not nearly as good as other Hibachi restaurants we've visited, and we paid $200 for 5 adults (two of whom shared a plate) and 2 children (one had the kids' chicken fingers and fries-$8, the other just a side of rice- $5.75). Tea or soda is $3.25 each. The soup and salad were fine. The fried rice was ok, and we got a ton of it. The chicken was cooked salty, hard, burned, and chewy. The light serving of vegetables we got was 80% broccoli and 20% onions/carrots/zucchini, pure soy sauce and burned black. The noodles were overcooked and very salty. We just weren't impressed.

My wife and I love Japanese food and have tried them all in the Birmingham area. This is one of the two best places to eat. Everything is good from the Sushi to the salad dressing. The service is always great, many of the cooks are very funny and entertaining as well as being great cooks. I live in Chelsea and am so glad to have one of the best Japanese Steakhouses in the Birmingham area in our town. I have seen complaints on local Facebook pages saying it is too expensive. The prices are in line with all the other Japanese restaurants and I have paid more money for much less quality food at other restaurants, many within 10- 15 miles of Chelsea. This place needs local support so it will be around a long while. The owner is very nice, the staff is friendly and atmosphere is perfect for celebrations. A few tips: if you can't afford 2 meals, order a split meal at the Tippin table and you will have plenty of food. There is a 7.95 seating fee but with that comes extra rice, soup and salad for the second diner. They have more dipping sauces than yum yum, but you have to ask for them. Their Ginger dipping sauce is excellent but my favorite is the mustard sauce, it is good on everything. My wife and I like dipping the sushi and vegetables in a side of the ginger dressing. Just ask the cook and he will make sure you get them at no extra charge. Celebrate your next birthday there and you'll get a special celebration to mark the occasion. This is a local business that needs and deserves our support. I'm not a big fan of most of the restaurants in the area, but this is one that has my loyal support. One other thing. If you are looking for a quiet dining not out this is not the place. Anyone who knows anything about Japanese Steakhouse dining knows it can get a little rowdy. It's a place to celebrate and have a good time, not a place for an intimate, quiet meal. It's just not intended for that. We ate here with some friends a few weeks ago and had a blast.

my daughter was also among those in the group who experienced having hot, dirty grease water slung on them. I believe the cook was mad about having eggs thrown at him, although the manager and cooks gave them the eggs and told them to throw them. Manager tried to say it was a joke.

We were having a perfectly fine night with a bunch of 7th grade friends. And the manager gave all of the kids eggs. He told us that we could throw the eggs. At the time the guy was cleaning the table. He got mad once one of the friends threw one of the eggs at them(remember the manager told 12 and 13 year olds we could). He got mad a splashed hot grease off the hibachi table into our dresses, faces and eyes. The guy didn’t give any of the girls apologies.

It was ok. The service was good and I really liked the vibe. The food was just ok though. You get goodportion sizes for the price but the quality and taste was just mediocre- similar to other Alabama Japanese. If this was California, 2 stars. But for Alabama, probably 3.5. I’ll round up to 4

Food is ok. It's typical hibachi food. The portions of protein on takeout orders are insanely small. Especially for the cost. Not sure of the portions are bigger if you dine in but I won't be going back.

I’ve been waiting for saisaki to open and we went for our first time today. It is our new favorite Japanese hibachi restaurant. The salad dressing is creamy not gritty and a hint of ginger. The soup was good and I love the big plastic spoons for it. The fried rice was good and smoky like I like. I tried my wife’s noodles and they were the best I’ve had. Not too sweet. I got filet and shrimp. The shrimp were big and fresh. The filet was good. I dieted rate because the usually cook it too much and it was over some. The vegetables were great as well. I love ginger sauce for dipping , yum yum is good but too sweet for my taste. They have teriyaki dipping sauce over never seen at the other Japanese places and it’s a little thicker and sweeter just how I like the glaze on my shrimp. Rich eats was our cook but Charlie saw me come in and say high. We used to ask for home at Kobe’s. 15 or 20 years ago. He is an amazing cook. I can’t wait to go back. Friendly staff. It was 12 noon on a Saturday and they didn’t make us wait until someone else came in. We got to eat by ourselves. I’m so happy they are open close to me. We went again tonight 8-28-23 and it’s was perfect again. The portion sizes are better than anywhere else. The vegetables have an equal amount of everything , not all one thing. The shrimp are huge 2 biters I call them. The filet is good quality meat. Charlie was our cook. I asked for him. He gives an amazing funny show
