This is a little gem of a dinner - owned by Mr. Green. It's like stepping back into 1960 when you walk in the door. 1 meat and 3 veggies, desert, bread and drink is $8.25 Veggie plate with 4 veggies dessert, bread and drink is $7.25. Refills are free. We usually go out with another couple and the guys usually get the All-you-can-eat catfish and your choice of: grilled, fried, whole or fillet. The menu is available with other choices - steak, shrimp, burgers and chicken. A small salad bar is available with other fresh salad fixings. ...and best of all, Mr Green comes in after finishing his day on the construction site and makes a dessert that he shares with his customers - while it lasts! Sometimes it is banana pudding, sometimes strawberry banana, and another time it may be Chocolate Carmel Cream Pie. One never knows what will be served - kind of pot-luck dessert option. I took a star off for the atmosphere and their handling of allergens. The atmosphere is old diner- just table and chairs and nothing cozy here. Staff could use education in handling allergens. My meal came a second time with Texas Toast even after explaining carefully that I couldn't eat wheat and requesting it be left off my plate.

We came in for lunch on Monday. I understand sometimes people are busy, but noone paid us any attention. My mother in law went up front for help and still wasnt acknowledged. Lost our business. We came to Bones BBQ and were greeted as soon as we entered and got our food in under 10 minutes.

My husband and I both ordered the 8 ounce prime rib while our adult daughter ordered two sides. We ordered fried green tomatoes and fried pickles to start. The appetizers were very good. We both ordered our streaks medium rare with only dales for seasoning. The steaks were thin but still cooked to order although my husband's had to be redone since it was cold. They have an all you can eat catfish meal on friday nights and that was likely to be the problem. The fish is apparently fantastic(if you like fish) and the kitchen was really hopping. Most tables had the fish but the few other things I saw made us decide to go back and try other choices at a future time. Even though they were busy I don't think anyone felt like they were not getting good service.

Really Great burgers! The place is not fancy, but clean & good food! Offers meat & 3 daily, but can order off the menu. Got 2 big burgers & fries & was around $14. The burgers remind me of the old burger places when I was a child. Really good & not fast food! The food is prepared in a short time, so not much of a wait. Highly recommend you give it a try!

Ordered eggs over medium and they came out over hard. Also ordered biscuits and sausage gravy, had to ask my server 2 times for my gravy and when it finally came out it was VERY WATERY.
