Granted, it was the Friday for Memorial Day. It was super busy. We arrived at 8:15 pm and were seated within 10-15 minutes. Only two wait staff working the entire restaurant, and those ladies were hustling. Unfortunately, our food didn’t arrive until 10. We were dead last to be served. We would have left, but our waitress was super apologetic about the wait. Potato salad was the only side available once we had our food. Overall, food was mediocre. Hopefully, this was just an off night. They do always seem to have a nice crowd throughout the day.

I would give the atmosphere a 5/5 stars, but I went at a weird time and almost no one was there. But the food was fantastic and the server was amazing.

It's a local folks/working man place at lunch. Locals and lake folks evening and weekends. They work hard and don't try to be more than that, which is smart. Specials on weekends. Always nice folks, and a good value. Gravel parking lot, metal building. Mainly sandwiches.

If you want a sandwich made with love and quality ingredients, the Poplar Dawgs is your place. Seriously folks, for a great sandwich and a cold beer they cant be beat. The last couple of times I've been there I noticed a lot of people ordering Chicken salad. Got some and OMG, the best ever!!! I live on the Kowliga side of the lake and it would be awesome if Poplar Dawgs would open a place there also. They also have meat & 3 during lunch and Steak & Lobster during the evening.
