This is the first time I've ever eaten at Ard's but it certainly won't be the last. The shrimp, corn ,and potatoes were great and the price was reasonable. The shrimp were the best I've eaten in my memory!!!!! The potatoes and corn were also very good! I ordered a take out meal and had enough food to feed my wife and I lunch and supper! Last but certainly not least, the staff friendly and very helpful!!

Three times I have made the trip from Somerville into Decatur to buy shrimp with no success. The first trip was early September and they were closed for two weeks. Second trip was after their published return date, on a Tuesday, and they were closed. After searching high and low, I finally found their hours posted on a tiny sign, many feet away from the door, not on the door where most businesses post their hours. They are only open Wednesday to Saturday. Third trip was today, Thursday, September 25. I was at their door at 10:00 AM, posted opening time, and the door was locked. I waited a few minutes and no one came to the door and no one was visible inside. I give up.

The food is killer! Didnt know they actually cook lunch and Dinner! Had the Royal Red Shrimp, Russet Potatoes and corn. Amazing. Snow crab, mahi mahi. I will be back very soon!

If you want a great Low Country Shrimp Boil, look no farther than Ard's. His Loaded Tackle Box is a Low Country Shrimp boil and it is Big and it is GREAT! If you want ambiance go somewhere else, but if you want great seafood, Mr. Ard will fix you up!

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious dinner of fresh home grilled Mahi-Mahi and bottle of wine purchased at Ard’s. Chuck’s store has really ramped up its seafood choices and fine wine selection and is now my go-to for fresh seafood.
