Serrano's Mexican

In over a year my family has never had bad food here or even mediocre food. The food is always excellent, hot, fresh, & mouthwatering. Don't sleep on Serrano's for chain Tex Mex where everything looks & tastes the same. Bounce in here for the birria changas, birria pizza, or pastor street tacos. I'm pretty much a weekly customer. The food is that good.

Good Chorizo dip and Salsa.

We had the most amazing dinner here—truly the best Mexican dishes we’ve had all year! The Mexican pizza birria was insanely flavorful, the chicken enchiladas verde were perfectly seasoned and saucy, and the top-shelf margaritas were the cherry on top (strong and delicious!). Oh and don’t miss the churros! 😋 The service was just as impressive—so warm and friendly, we felt right at home. Can’t wait to come back and bring friends. Highly recommend!

I ordered shrimp Ramen thru doordash got my order it had no Ramen in it.

I am a kitchen repair technician and was called out to work on various equipment at this location...the staff and management here are so friendly. While finishing up my work here today, Christian (the owner) treated me to lunch. A huge burrito stuffed with chorizo, rice, peppers and other veggies. It was amazing, by far the best chorizo I have ever eaten ANYWHERE!!! I also told him to give me the hottest salsa he had and he did not disappoint. With an option of the red or Verde salsa I was unable to choose a favorite and alternated thru the entire burrito heat level was perfect and complimented the meal perfectly. I can't recommend enough for you to try them out today! I just found my favorite lunch location in Decatur!

Absolutely amazing place to pick up food from, the food is the best I have ever had ! I am a long time customer of another local Mexican restaurant and I will definitely be switching to serranos !

Food and service are both wonderful. My new go-to restaurant.

My first time visiting was during tornado weather. I ordered carne asada, texas burrito, tamales, churro bites, and a to-go margarita. Had a beer with my buddy while we waited and chatted with the owner. He was super friendly, gave us a sample of his birria(which was fantastic), gave us a sample of the homemade margarita(which also was fantastic), and just was very welcoming. The burrito was as enormous as it was tasty, the carne asada was flavorful and tender, the tamales were very tasty(though slightly dry), and the churro bites had a warm caramel sauce and were a perfect dessert. 10/10 reccomend and will be back again!

My husband and I love Serrano’s! Every time we have visited (whether for lunch or dinner) we have been greeted with polite employees and exceptional food!

I only have a few qualms, but they are easy for me to overlook.

1.) the deluxe cheese dip and regular cheese dip is always served cold for some reason.

2.) we are sometimes overlooked when waiting for a host to show us to a table. It seems like they may be short-staffed at times.

Overall, we will continue to return to this restaurant and we are excited to see how they improve!
