I’ve been to this restaurant three times in the past year, or so. The first time I went they were closed despite the website saying they were open. So, the second time I called the park to ensure the restaurant was open. The store assured me that the restaurant WAS open. So, once again I loaded up the family and headed to the restaurant. We got there and found out that the restaurant WAS “open”, just not “open” to the public. Apparently the park was having a meeting in the restaurant that day and would not let us in despite the smell of freshly cooked food lingering in the air. Third trip, website says open, “closed for the season”. ??♂️It’s a dang shame that Alabama State Parks are managed the way they are.

The restaurant is very nice and the views are just breathtaking! Food options are limited, mostly fried meals. But it was good enough for us and they have a veggie burger as well. You need to order before getting seated and you get a pager which buzzes when they bring the food. Everything is served in plastic to go boxes.

I gave four stars because the view from the patio is a must at sunset while enjoying pizza. They’ve only offered pizza for awhile until their new menus just came out. It was decent food.

The lady taking orders at the front desk just seemed a little too proud to be out of everything we were trying to order. Like it was funny to her. The fries were tough and not hot. The bbq burger was pretty good though.

I cannot rate the food, only the view which is outstanding. Due to Covid the restaurant only had a limited takeout menu which did not offer anything healthy so we chose to eat outside of the park. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Take advantage of the terrace to enjoy the view but you may have to fight for a chair.

We had a great Cheeseburger and Fries at Vista Cliffside. Christopher and the other staff members were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stop by the next time we are at the park!

We had so much fun eating lunch at the Cheaha State Park Restaurant (Vista Cliffside). The food was good and the service was fantastic. The view is amazing! Definitely plan to eat here!

My husband had the Bald Rock Burger and said it was great. My chicken fingers were average and ok. The view was amazing. They do sell beer and wine. Also, this spot has wifi.

Chris and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. They were helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely pleasant to interact with. The food was also top-notch, and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find vegetarian options - even on their reduced menu ( due to COVID ). The pecan pie was also amazing - very rich and not overly-sweet. On top of the wonderful dining experience, the views overlooking the valley are absolutely breathtaking. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
