“For years, I overlooked Great American Cookies, a cookie shop nestled within the fading Wiregrass Commons Mall. Now, two decades later, I've finally experienced its delights and I'm hooked! These cookies are truly fantastic, boasting a perfect texture that's ideal for dunking in milk (a feat that some cough, Crumbl, cough struggle with due to their buttery richness).

Beyond the delicious cookies, the service is wonderfully friendly and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. In a mall that's seen better days, Great American Cookies and the neighboring pretzel shop are bright spots, offering a sweet escape and a reminder that sometimes hidden gems are worth seeking out.

“It's is a day old bakery. If you have no aversion to this, which I don't. There is a great opportunity to stock up on bakery items for a small fraction of what you would pay at the grocery. Freeze them until you need them. I have vacuum sealed a couple loaves of bread instead of freezing and it's worked pretty good for arresting the aging process“

“Had lunch here today! Absolutely amazing. The ambiance is perfect complimented with a beautiful dining room. The cases were stocked with everything from pepper steak and onions, to buffalo chicken dip. you can grab the casseroles and go. We had the chicken parmessan it was fantastic . it came with pecan pie for dessert, delish. The staff was remarkable!! We will definitely be back. They have a variety menu to satisfy any palette. Definitely try it . Many sweets but a great menu of sandwiches, salads, and pasta dishes.“

“The only time the place can disappoint is when they’re out of something you’re craving. Everything I have had from here is delicious. There were no petit fours out front, but the nice ladies offered to grab some from the back for me. The cookie assortment I tried was delicious. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gingerbread cookie was probably the best.“
