We went for Bill's Birthday. The food was delicious, and our server was wonderful, caring and attentive. You can't beat Bella's filets. They are tender and cooked to perfection. The dining atmosphere is romantic and delightful. Fine dining in Dothan was delightful. Thanks again, Kari

Poor service experience.

Food was subpar.

Management and team resisted the feedback that was given which worsened the experience.

Do not recommend.

I have eaten at this establishment a few times and decided to try again for a friend’s engagement dinner. Not only was I disappointed in the service and food,
I am appalled by how management has decided to respond to my party’s overall experience. We were a very reasonable party with very few requests (bread, water, napkins) however, any request made towards our server seemed like we were inconveniencing her. The overall experience was less than satisfactory, the food was cold and flavorless, and everyone in my party was in shock by the lack of accountability and effort. I was hoping to have a better experience after the renovations and reopening but that was not the case. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and potential, but the lack of staff training and strategic communication in response to crisis will be their downfall.

Let me start by emphasizing that I came to this restaurant with my family and friends to celebrate my engagement, but this experience was beyond disappointing.
The service was horrible. Our server was not attentive (no drink refills, no checking in, no napkins given when our food came out, etc). When we asked for help or for anything, it almost seemed like it was an inconvenience for her. She was so rude that we ended up asking for a manager and receiving a new server. When our food finally came out, just about my whole party’s food was cold. Our cold items were replaced, thankfully. However, the new server told my mother that he would replace her pasta entirely with a new HOT one since it was so cold when it came out. She ordered the shrimp and andouille pasta. He ended up bringing her back her SAME pasta, just microwaved with more Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. We know that this was her same dish because the finished shrimp tail that she placed on the side of the bowl was still there when he brought the plate of “new” pasta back. UNACCEPTABLE!
At this point I question this restaurant’s cleanliness and safety because when is it EVER okay to bring customer consumed dishes or dishes that have touched a dining room table back into the kitchen to be reheated??!?!! This is NEVER okay, just in case you didnt know. There are so many risks of cross contamination by doing this. And if they did it once, I’m sure this is a regular practice of theirs. This is so disgusting and dishonest. The owner, the kitchen staff, and both servers that served my family should be ashamed and embarrassed. No one did anything to try to reconcile any of our issues, even after I called the server out on being dishonest about not bringing a fresh pasta after he offered it.
I would not recommend anyone eating at this restaurant. The food is mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price gouge they charge for it. And not to mention the health risks and lack of cleanliness associated with their inappropriate food handling. It’s not worth being treated like you don’t matter, and it’s not worth potentially getting sick bc servers believe in risking customer’s health and safety instead of having integrity and remaking dishes they’ve failed on. My engagement celebration was ruined. DO BETTER!
Edited following the owner’s response: two people out of the eight in my party received desserts. Everyone wasn’t offered a dessert also, please know that. I chose not to receive a dessert bc I questioned your restaurant’s cleanliness, and that’s okay. NO ONE was ever rude to any of your staff, including myself. Even after I found how poorly my mother was treated when your server guaranteed and lied about a healthier fix to her issue with the pasta, I was still nice- everyone was. The male server who took over my table was nice too, he was just wrong. He handled a very fixable situation incorrectly and unsafely.
Please choose to reconcile your opinions about customers who patronize YOUR BUSINESS publicly differently if you aren’t going to hold your establishment accountable for very ill-managed practices.

If I could give a negative star, I would. When I say this was a terrible experience, I cannot describe it enough. From walking in the door it was a poor experience. Myself and friends were here to celebrate our friends engagement. We sat in the lobby for more than 30 minutes because we didn't have reservations, so you'd think the place was packed out. Once inside, there were many, many empty tables. Now time to describe our server, if t hats what you call her. She handed us a menu and asked if we wanted appetizers. We inquired about the menus as they had been significantly downsized since our previous visit. She explained they were concentrating on providing quality instead of quantity of items in the establishment. OK, so one would expect satiable food. OK so two people at our table place appetizer orders. Approximately an hour later they show up. At this point we finally get some water poured into our glasses. We remember last time having bread and oil, so we inquire and the server says, oh yall want some (wow). Next, we order our entrees. An hour later they began arriving. My salmon tasted as though, a box of salt had been shaken over it and let's not mention the roasted carrots, which were actually charred burnt and inedible. A forty dollar plate that was inedible. One person ordered the pasta with three meats which arrived cold and inedible because of it. Four persons ordered mashed potatoes as their side and all of them described them as cold like they came out of the fridge. The waiter never attempted to refill a cup and acted disturbed when she was asked to please get us napkins or to order another drink. I have never witnessed someone so disturbed by our existence. We are all very educated and well mannered individuals who only wanted to celebrate our friends. One member of the group requested a manager, some guy shows up and he began getting water and said he awaited to make things right. He took the plate of pasta to the kitchen and we thought he was getting a new prepared meal but no, he returns and she finds the shrimp she bit off right where she left it. They simply heated it up in the microwave and sprinkled cheese on top. This experience was despicable and nobody should ever go through what we sat through. We all typically give above the 20 percent tip, but we're automatically charged due to 5 or more in party. I will never return to this place and will suggest anyone who wants to be treated well not to as well. I don't know how they are in business.

Absolutely the best dining experience in a long time. The atmosphere was amazing. It is a must do if you are in Dothan!!!

The reason for my low rating is primarily due to poor food quality and taste. My ribeye was horrible. No marinade or season what so ever. Chef let me down...

We had to ask for our salads after 30 minutes. Salad was frozen on the edges. Crab cakes were tiny and terrible( little to no crab meat). Never got drink refills offered. Server was unprofessional and said she was busy with someone that couldn’t pay their bill. Why would you share that. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Our server was a sweet young lady & she was wonderful!
Other than that the experience & food was not great. Walked in and nobody was in sight. Their complimentary bread is AWFUL!! I mean AWFUL - how is something like that acceptable. They even told us they deep fry it so it lasts longer because the fresh bread goes bad too fast for them?! Are y’all cutting costs on your bread to make up for the money lost on your remodel? LOL. Absolutely insane. Hard as a rock. My pasta was very mediocre, but edible. The steak was horrendous, whatever seasonings are used need to be reconsidered. The manager came and grilled us about what was wrong with the steak. We explained and he still kept asking questions. We even expressed that we don’t mind paying for it but it just wasn’t good. Brussel sprouts are delicious but that was about it. Also, asked for a coke and it took them like 20 minutes to get it for me… lol been to A LOT of fine dinning around the US and let me tell you this is nowhere near fine dinning.

Same as Chris we tried to go there with a party of eight and it said that it should be open however neither door was open. We went so far as to even attempt to call but the phone number went nowhere. I personally will never try to go back to this establishment

Repeatedly Closed, Misleading Information

I've tried to visit this restaurant multiple times, each time searching for a romantic spot in Dothan. Unfortunately, despite Google showing it as open, every single visit has been met with closed doors. This is extremely frustrating, especially when planning something special. I hope they update their hours or correct their communication with customers to avoid this unnecessary confusion.

Edit (after owner response):

After posting my review, the owner responded with the following:

"Yes, we are closed for renovation. It is clear on our website. Sorry, you were upset about that. It isn't misleading. You're upset because we weren't open. I hope you find a great spot for your romantic evening. Salute to your night."

While I understand renovations are sometimes necessary, my feedback was based on the Google listing, which showed the restaurant as open during my attempts to visit. I did not check the website because, like most users, I relied on Google’s information. I wasn’t upset about the restaurant being closed for renovations—I was frustrated by the inaccurate information that led to wasted trips and planning.

I want to emphasize that updating online listings is crucial to avoid misleading customers. I am simply hoping that this issue is addressed to prevent similar situations in the future. I look forward to giving this restaurant a try once the renovations are complete.
