The food is fairly good, and the beer selection is pretty extensive. The service is as good as any bar given the nature of the clientele. Meaning it can be fast or slow depending on who is ahead of you in line. I'm never in a hurry when I go, but I've not been unduly delayed getting my order. I love all the local talent and live performances on Friday nights. There's sort of a folksy/hippie vibe in this tucked away jewel. If you don't love the outdoors it may not be your thing, but it's right up my alley.

It was a great place to hang out and have some real Cajun food. Hope they open their new location soon.

Great beer, good food, and fantastic people. We were visiting from out of state and stopped here for for the NYE celebration and owl burning. Great music and such a fun atmosphere. Family and dog friendly!

There is a good menu variety, I ordered the cheese burger which came out in a few minutes. It didn't taste that good, in fact I've had way better. The ladies that serve you seem sweet but I only talked to them for a slight second. My Aunt ordered us some doughnuts but they were completely uncooked and tasted gross. The lemonade tastes like watered down Diet Pepsi, they have free popcorn, but there was barely any left and it was cold. They had free lollipops for children but they were melted, the fries were over seasoned, and they don't have regular coke, just Diet Coke. Overall the only good experience I had here was talking to my family and drinking water. 2 stars. :)

When you first set out to find this wonderful location, you'll question what you are, but you'll be thankful you took the drive. As you approach Folklore, you'll instantly feel like you are going to a family member or friends home and that's exactly how you'll be treated, like family. Folklore has been in business for 10 years and there's no surprise why, the hospitality you receive here is top notch and the beer/mead is amazing. The location is built on family land and boasts a large building for indoor seating with TVs if you want to catch a game. They have a huge outdoor space that includes a stage for live music, lots of seating to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, fire pits, a playground area for kids and open great area for them to run and play. Super dog friendly (must be on a leash) and a place to make new friends. You can sample anything you like! We started off with mead and really enjoyed the peach and traditional honey mead. I choose a flight with a mix of mead and beer. The nite nailin (English brown ale) was nutty, rich in flavor. The blood orange ale was super light and refreshing! They also have this program called "kill the keg" where there are clearing their kegs supply to bring in the other brews they have so pints of those brews are only $3!! The growlers and growlers of those on the "kill the keg" are also discount! We fell in love with the Pecan brown ale and while we enjoyed several pints at Folklore, we purchased two growlers to bring home with us to Florida. If you find yourself near this gem, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will not be disappointed

We were passing through in our RV on our way to Red Bay and stopped here for a beer. What a delightful, unexpected experience. The property owners, Uncle Kenny and his wife, met us in the parking lot on their golf cart. We had great conversation with them and the beer was great! We sampled a couple of beers and settled on the IPA and the JP-8. AMAZING! Then I got a Pecan Brown and hubby got the Blood Orange Blonde. Again, AMAZING! The service, the company, the beer and the venue are awesome. We were the last customers of the night but we will stop there every time we're near Dothan.

We visited about a year ago. It was a surprise journey down the rabbit hole, hard to find but well worth the perseverance. We sat outside on a fine afternoon with our samplers, all were great. Pablo has a Folklore T-shirt and he wears it all the time. We just took it to the UK where they love mead and cider. We did not try the food. It's a road trip destination.

Folklore Brewing and Meadery Live music, open kitchen and plenty of great tasting brews in an indoor and outdoor setting that will literally blow you away. Short distance off Ross Clark Circle, down Hodgesville Road to Hagler Road in Dothan to find the brewery, but once there you will be impressed - GUARANTEED! The Service Team stems from the parking area as a greeter ushers you into an open parking spot, to the folks behind the food and beverage counters. Food was varied to satisfy anyone's palette, everything from traditional Cajun items like gumbo, muffulettas, to Po' Boys to seafood (fried shrimp, oysters, fish), chicken, burgers and some of the best hand cut French fries in the area. We enjoyed the muffulettas and Shrimp Po' Boy with a plentiful side of fries. Food was tasty, hot and well-seasoned. My guess is they have at least thirty, if not more varieties of brews on tap and a cooler for take home beers. The Brewery is open seven days a week and among the guests was a good mixture of age groups, children playing in the play area, people playing corn hole, others listening to the band, and some with their pets. The atmosphere is very laid back and enjoyable. Staff is super friendly and outgoing. From reading the posted advertisements, they have a variety of events and activities throughout the month for multiple ages. One activity we plan to return for is the Pints & Paints. Don't think one could ask for anything better on a warm mid-summer evening - delicious food with cold beer and live music.

Great place to spend a rainy afternoon flights of beers and meads were delicious. They also have an outside Rv camping area complete with electric hookups! We will definitely be back when in the area again!

Nice surprise at this local brewery/meadery. Went here with a group. As I was not a real beer drinker, I tried their apple cider/sparkling cyser and it didn't disappoint. They also serve New Orleans food with a place called blue cafe. I had the shrimp and grits and it was really good. They also have live music outside. Service was a little slow for the cafe.

Great beer and awesome patio. Kinda off the beaten path so not as busy. I really enjoyed it.

Cool little place. Great beers. Had 2 flights to try them all. Slightly strange driveway. But once we got in , it was hard to leave!! Can't wait to come back.

Quality beer, awesome service, and great atmosphere. This is exactly what a craft brewery should be but all too often isn't (from a CA resident who visits a lot of breweries). In a market loaded with underwhelming hazy IPA's it's refreshing to visit a brewery that has a core lineup that stands on its own. Six beers were sampled and every one was technically solid. Pils- light, refreshing, and appropriately hopped for the style. Wheat- a little lighter in color than most but great flavor with a touch of expected wheat tartness. Witbier- earthy, spicy crushable Belgian character that pleasantly sets it apart from the other light offerings. Red- so perfectly balanced. Toasty and sweet but not sticky or heavy with a nice complement of classic hop aroma and medium bitterness. Porter- delightful roastiness that transitions from chocolate to espresso. My favorite of the lineup. IPA- yes! West coast IPA all the way. Piney resin with a tiny bit of citrus and ripe stone fruit. Craft breweries, take note. Folklore is the model that should be emulated.

Served Undercooked Shrimp with no Breading. When asked about it was asked if I wanted to cook it in the kitchen. Rude as fuck.
