Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We haven't been to Cracker Barrel in a while. Its just not something we think of unless traveling. We were staying in a hotel that didn't serve breakfast on Thanksgiving. Thanks to Cracker Barrel for being open. The food was great and Tammy J wes very nice even though this is their busiest day of the year.

All was fine except the manager or whatever he was stanfing talking to a customer right next to our table pretty much the entire time we were there.. I have PTSD and him standing like that and all the loud talking just made this trip not pleasant.. our waitress moved around so much so fast you about couldnt get anything out of her.. never had a bad experience there til now. Usually it is one of my favorite spots. The fried okr was either not breaded right or was cooked wrong bc it was hard and bitter and flavorless.. meatloaf was dried out REALLY bad and almost burnt...

This was our first visit since the menu change and logo fiasco. The menu has taken away some of our mainstay orders, but we were willing to give other options a try.
The service was slow at best. Took over 5 minutes to be greeted and more than 5 minutes to get our check after we asked for it.
The grilled chicken plate was good and the pot roast entree was good overall.
It's just different. We don't really care for the different.

Food was less than Cracker Barrel standards..the service in waitress was excellent.. so sorry to report that they must replace their cook !

We had the best waitress. There were 5 of us all senior citizens. She took great care of us and even took our picture by the fireplace.
