El Maguey Authentic Mexican Restaurant

I met a nice lady who told me to try this for authentic Mexican food. And she was sooooooo right. This is real Mexican food y’all right here in Dothan Alabama. But like always the real authentic spots struggle cuz people who don’t understand rather eat Tex-mex or just plain up Taco Bell smh. Hopefully they grow some roots here in Dothan so we continue to eat here.

I was stationed in San Antonio and El Paso Texas so I LOVE Mexican food. My wife has never been a fan. I FINALLY talked her into going to La Parilla and trying fajitas. She instantly changed her attitude. The wait times there are lengthy at times but we’ve always waited because there were no other really good options. Tonight, that changed. This place is somewhat of a hidden gem as the locale is a bit deceiving as there are a couple businesses in the same building & the 1st sign you see is a For Rent sign on that side of the building as u turn off the RCC; the restaurant faces the Circle so don't be fooled. But the food was yummy, made to order & very authentic! Highly recommend this place, we will return!
