Literally so upset. I have used Rolens for years whether for orders or just pickups in general. I called today to ask about petit fours because I wanted to get 4 dozen for our Christmas party. I wasn’t asking for any to be reserved or anything, I just wanted to let her know we were coming for quite a few and she was incredibly rude to me. Stated she can’t guarantee they have that many, we’d have to see what’s there when we get there, and that she does not take same day orders. I truly just wanted to avoid showing up wanting quite a few and being treated badly in the moment. I guess they’ve made so much money and have enough regular customers that they don’t care how they treat people because they’ll get business no matter what. I know this review will do nothing because of that, but there was zero reason to treat someone that way.

The only time the place can disappoint is when they’re out of something you’re craving. Everything I have had from here is delicious. There were no petit fours out front, but the nice ladies offered to grab some from the back for me. The cookie assortment I tried was delicious. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle gingerbread cookie was probably the best.

So I'm one of those horrible customers that waited until the last minute... Right before closing I ordered three dozen petit fours for the next day. They obliged, we picked them up early, and none the wiser! I'm not saying that it's okay to do this, I'm just saying I will forever love this bakery just for that! 💝💝

My family and I have been using Rolen's Bakery since I was 17 years old for my cakes and for 20 of 24 for my daughter. All I had to do was tell the one who answered what I wanted and it was done. Now I call to have a special cake made for me and my sister and first I was told no on a round cake, then I was told no on a sheet cake, I asked what has changed cause it was never this difficult to get a cake. Then he ask what I wanted just to go tell the decorator then tells me I have to bring pictures in, what you don't have Google or an imagination. Going down hill damn

Mr. Guy Rowland must have sold out to someone else and they are using different recipes. The cheese straws and the wedding cookies were horrible. Neither had flavor like the bakery used to have the cheese straws like the cheese they used to have and the nuts were not present in the wedding cookies. The sand tarts also tasted as if they were using some kind of wheat bread flour. They were dark and not the same. The prices were outrageous and the size of the product was small. I know that Covid and inflation but this is ridiculous. I will never go back. I spent $30. The person waiting on me was incredibly rude. The cupcake I got was a week old. It was a horrible experience. It’s not the same as it used to be I will never go back as stated before.

Stopped in on way home from Florida, will make it a point to stop while traveling through Dothan from now on. Manager was happy to tell about each pastry, cookie and cake available. Too which I bought a sampling of many and wished I had bought more. Bought an old fashioned pound cake and brought home for fresh picked strawberries, delicious. Hopefully, will get to try more next trip.

The hours on google, and on their front door say they are open until 5pm. We showed up at 4:54… they had the door locked, and this older woman with grey hair, rudely yelled at us from the bakery counter that they were closed. I work at a local establishment here in town. We not only serve food, but sell what’s in our store front up until the very last min. We don’t close 6 minutes or earlier before the noted time on the door. I’m confused as to why a small business like this would turn away repeat customers. I will not be going back, and I will let everyone I know how this situation was handled.

I got a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing, and it was amazing. Moist cake and the icing was nice and soft. Totally recommend it if you're looking to get some dessert you'd love and not waste your money on. Here's another one we got, white icing with white cake!
