Taj Indian & Greek Restaurant

Update new location- Surprise Surprise this restaurant has a vibe that feel like New York and I should know im from there. It hs. Lounger lower seating area with comfy chairs and the food is delicious. I enjoyed butter chicken curry of course and butter garlic nann bread and my guest enjoyed the rack of lamb. The sangria was tasty and the bartender added fruit which was nice fyi get the cherry thank me later. I will definitely be back i foresee great girl nights and a wonderful hang out vibebthe environment is beautiful and Vibe. Not many places matches my outfit but hello Taj i dress to empress and u are showing out in Dothan. Robots bring out delivery orders to your server is there for you not juggling which i find to be a nice 2025;touch. I look forward to enjoy nights on the patio it looks just as comfy and vibey in a warm summer night.
Our first time -The food was very flavorful and the service was terrific this young man that served was full of personality and was a great served. The decor was lack luster and the nan bread paired well with the gravy served in our meals but it seemed store brought not authentic. The dishes did not match it was very much like someone leftover dishes they brought to their restaurant but the smaller dish that holds the rice and entree was restaurant style and even though small held enough food to full up and adult. My son has the chicken Cesar wrap and it look delicious he ate more then I ever expected. The dessert was also lack luster tiramisu is my favorite cake it it was not freshly made and had ice particular in top like it was in a freezer and didn't have enough cake. Also the slice was so small. The dessert Baklava was a larger slice but my husband took it home. I had Baklava before he hasn't it looked like the dessert I know but I didn't taste it. My son enjoyed his Tiramisu but he also never had it and had nothing to compare it to so I honestly can tell you it was lack luster and the smallest slice of dessert I had. The Chai tea was lack luster also I expect before it's traditional Indian tea again my favorite so was disappointed tasted like a tea bag. The main Chai and Tiramisu was a goal for me to go so Take dropped the ball in flavor and authenticity and also in Decor. The entree and appetizer samosa and butter chicken was referred and didn't disappoint. I will visit again more so for take out though now that I experience the decor and my chai and Tiramisu favorite let me down no need to sit inside. Was surprised the lot looked full but did not have to wait to be seated.

The food is wonderful, the service to notch (but busy) and the atmosphere is fun! One of our favorite places in Dothan

a Dothan classic. Not authentic at all, the curry is overdosed with heavy whipping cream, but that makes it all the better.

I haven't been to the new location, I only ordered take out, but I felt right at home after taking one bite. It had been many years since I had Taj last.

I can't rave enough about this restaurant. Their food was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch. The restaurant itself is decorated so beautiful. My husband and I are on vacation and I already told him I want to come back another night before we go home. We both got their curries with bone in chicken and the green chili naan. It was absolutely delicious and authentic. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

First Time Experience! Loved the entire place. Food on point (Different Cultures)! Brooke(waitress) was Everything and very helpful,detailed. Different Experience Give Taj A Try! My friends and I will definitely be returning!

I love Taj. just moved to the area last year, and was hunting for a new place to have Indian foods. Found Taj, and LOVE IT. I try to go at least a couple times a week. the food is great, as well as the atmosphere. the staff know how to make people feel welcome. I haven't had a curry here that I haven't liked yet.

The food was amazing. Loved having so much variety, including vegetarian options, and the staff were such friendly and lovely people. Our family will be coming back many times for sure.

My husband and I visited the restaurant for the Valentine's special, but we encountered several issues during our experience. We never received our water, and we waited an hour and a half for our food. We had to remind the server of our presence after our order was mistakenly given to someone else. When our food finally arrived, it was not what we had ordered. Mine was so spicy that I couldn’t even eat it; the server admitted he didn’t know how to use the spice level indicator and mistakenly set it to a 7 instead of the 3 I requested. Furthermore, the server tried to present us with the bill before we had even received our dessert. When the cheesecake finally arrived, it was frozen. The only highlight of the evening was the music. Overall, the experience was not worth the $150 bill. We are regulars at your restaurant, but tonight was a significant disappointment, and I doubt we will be returning.

We have stopped here a couple of times in our travels. I will say it is always incredible. The service is prompt and the wait staff is very friendly!

Didn’t give us water until we asked almost half way through. Prices were obnoxious. One single piece of roti/chapati/tandoori roti was $3.5-$4. Size wasn’t big, small home sized chapati. Rice that came along with any curry was so little. Quantities were just off. Chapati wasn’t cooked through and we had to send it back. Never stopping here again.
