Dothan's best kept secret. Regardless of the beer you prefer, they have something for everyone, plus wine and champagne! Food is fantastic and service is wonderful. Family and pet friendly. Wed trivia is the best!

Thirsty Pig Craft Beer Taproom is a fantastic spot tucked away in downtown Dothan. It's run by a husband-and-wife team, and you can feel that personal touch in the atmosphere and service. While it’s not a traditional bar, the taproom offers a great selection of craft beers—including a variety of IPAs and other brews—along with wine options. Whether you're into bold hops or something a little smoother, there’s something for everyone.

The newly remodeled back area is a highlight. It’s fully covered, with plenty of fans to keep things cool (and heaters for the colder months), plus enough space to comfortably host live bands. It really strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and lively. The whole space is welcoming and family-friendly, which isn’t something you find often at places serving alcohol.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable—ready to offer suggestions without being overbearing. I didn’t try the food this time, so I left that rating blank, but everything else about the visit made it a really enjoyable experience.

The only minor downside is the 9 PM closing time, but given the laid-back vibe and smaller food selection, it honestly makes sense. This isn’t a late-night bar scene—it’s a well-kept, community-oriented spot to unwind with good drinks, good people, and great atmosphere.

Highly recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a place to relax without the chaos.

After discovering this place, I am now a frequent and regular visitor. Love the variety of beers on tap and in the bottle/can. They also have wine and other beverages (frozen slushies, sodas, etc.) for the non-beer drinkers. Trivia Night on Wednesdays and frequent live music is always fun. Love the laid-back vibe and the great service always! Our group always enjoys the food too - check out the menu - great variety and consistently good. Highly recommend The Pig!!!!

Really disappointed. New to the area and have been wanting to try it based on all the good reviews. The food comes in a small paper container. No plates, had one plastic fork for 2 people for the loaded fries. The fries were soggy and cold although the pulled pork was good. Same with the siraccha tacos super cold. Beers are pricey and not a good selection of drafts. Won't be back.

Lots of delicious beer, fun atmosphere, and a cool outdoor area. They have an old school jukebox that still works and is free to enjoy. Great brewery in downtown Dothan. We can’t wait to come back.

We will be back again!!! Me and my sister randomly googled some events in Dothan and I saw that a young singer/songwriter was performing at some place called The Thirsty Pig. So we went to check it out and we are so glad we did! It was super cozy and the staff was EXCELLENT. The owner personally talked to us and served us our wine and yummy food. Plus we LOVED the atmosphere. Not rowdy, but also a fun spot. We sat for hours and enjoyed it. We look forward to going back when it’s not raining and check out the outside seating as well.
