I try to get to Phil's every time I go back to my home town of Eufaula. They serve the absolute best Chopped Pork (butt), sandwich that you could imagine. I can't personally speak for the rest of their menu other than Brunswick Stew, but I had their jumbo chopped sand at least four days a week when I lived there years ago. It was just as good yesterday as it ever was. Always moist an flavorful. I love to drizzle it with their habanero hot mustard based sauce. Be aware that I am not comparing their chopped porksandwhich to a pulled pork sandwich. I love both but they generally have different textures and cook to different temps.Their Brunswick Stew seemed a little off yesterday but it is normally as good as anyone's. In my opinion, Phil's does in fact has a legitimate claim to "The Best Butts in Bama."
Parking: Parking is sometimes a little tight but I have never be unable to secure a spot.

Phil's BBQ honestly serves some of the best BBQ in Alabama. Well worth the visit!
Well worth a drive. The ribs fall off the bone and the taste is balanced. Not over seasoned with black pepper. Perfection. If you don't want bones try the chucked butt. Eat here often. Meat is always moist.

First of all the food is amazing, the homemade sauces are so good if I spilled some on my hand I’d be down to just one. This was the last restaurant me and my mother ate at together before she passed away a few months ago, will stop by each and every time I’m in eufaula.

Stopped in on our way back to Atlanta from Panama City Beach. Craving BBQ and couldn’t resist their slogan. Walked in 10 minutes before closing and was cheerfully greeted. Place was spotless.(even bathroom). Delicious BBQ. Will return ?

We were greeted from the moment we walked in. I asked what's good to eat here and of course they replied "everything" and they weren't lying. They helped me decide on the rib platter. For my sides I chose the baked beans and potato salad. I also grabbed a few sauces from the sauce table. I felt bad for wasting those. The ribs were perfect just the way the were cooked they didn't need any extra flavoring. The potato salad and baked beans were delicious too. I ate my whole platter with the exception of the bread slices. I'm not a big bread eater in general. Before I left I grabbed some dessert. The strawberry shortcake just melts in your mouth. This hidden gem is a must if your ever in the area. We will definitely return.
Parking: We showed up around 4pm. There was plenty of parking around the building.
Kid-friendliness: During our visit. We saw quite a few families bring their children in to eat.
Ribs were very good - one of the best I’ve had! Chicken salad was ok.
What a perfect halfway point between Atlanta and 30A destinations!
